  • I was so excited for the Roadster V2, that I couldn't stop myself from making this video. I had to have this done so I could go ride!

    Thank you. Up and running in 1 hour. Excellent video. I have to admit I was intimidated when I learned I had to open up the bottom and mess with the electronics, but the video convinced me to try. Thanks again,

    Worked! Though in the last step on my gravel edition I wasn't able to pull apart those two small connections before stuffing everything in the tube, it all fit anyways. My impression after riding with the external battery is: definitely worth it

    Excellent video! I was thinking about getting the 2nd battery, but I was worried that the wiring would be difficult. With your excellent instruction, now I am much more comfortable with the installation. Thank you!

    Looks like you can just by a non oem battery and get a switch to swap batteries on the fly. It would be much cheaper. Has anyone tried this? You could mount the battery on a rack.

    Hi, Can you use the batteries separately? Meaning will it cause any damage if I just use the bike with the internal battery dead and the external one full. My example use-case would be; I drain both going to work but can only charge the external in my office for the ride home. Oh, thanks for this video. It looks so much nicer (imho) with just the integrated battery , but I sure do appreciate the extra mileage.

    Can you guys make a tutorial on how to remove the rear wheel on the roadster V2? I cracked my wheel and the tire no longer holds air. Your customer support was great and sent me a replacement wheel, and even offered to pay for a bike shop to repair it, but therein lies the problem. No bike shop in my area will touch this bike because of the belt drive. So I’m pretty much left to try and repair it myself. I dont know how the spokes work or anything, but I’m sure I can figure it out. I love this bike, but its been sitting for almost 2 years because of this.

    After you permanently connected the second battery. Can battery charging on the main down tube, main plug only? Also well the DashBoard computer tell you if both batteries are discharging at the same time? Thanks for added info.

    Excellent tutorial.
    One question: Will the displays be able to read the levels of both batteries? If so will that be simultaneously or will the second battery’s reading only appear after the first battery has been drained to zero?

    Can the Roadster 2nd battery be installed on the CF Racer 1? The website implies it can but there are no photos of it being installed or further mention in the FAQ. Can the CF Racer 1 bars and stem be replaced with separate bars and stem if the stem length is too long or short?

    Seems like enough range, but can I buy an additional external battery WITHOUT the mounting bracket? I.e., have one in the bracket and one in a backpack. For those extra-long trips. Thanks!

    • @stevelouie5928
      @stevelouie5928 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here's a better ideal. Can they sell the extra battery mounting kit and we can just buy a standard battery ourselves? You can get a 20 MAh battery for pretty cheap and put it in a frame mounted bag. You can go pretty far with a 20 Mah battery.

    • @Ride1Up
      @Ride1Up  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For the 700 Series, we recommend purchasing a second battery from us and securing it safely in a trunk bag on the rear rack. This doubles your range and swaps out in less than a minute.
