you popped up on my home page and i’m obsessed 😍 as someone who was born & raised in nyc your save is incredibly accurate and the apartments are so reminiscent of my grandma’s old place. i would love a deep dive, i’m so intrigued by all of this

Very good advice about taking breaks if you find yourself getting kind of bored or repetitive in the way that you build! I also tried to bring a bit of each Sims personality into their home, but not to the extent that you have. Honestly, this being the fifth time that I’ve built a safe file I know from experience that it would take me more than a year to finish it if I went into the amount of detail that you’re going into and I know that I will lose interest long before that. So I’m managing my own personality while creating my safe file… Lol. I love the subway… What a great idea and well executed. Where in the world did you find the escalators? I’m pretty sure they’re stairs, but I think that those are fantastic! Thanks for sharing basis for your current creation and I hope that you’ll share updates with us as well.

The escalator is from ATS4: sims4.aroundthesims3.com/objects/build_stairs_01.shtml they are stairs unfortunately, but still very cool looking! I look forward to sharing more :)

When you were talking about getting sims to the unfunctional subway to play out the story in your head, it gave me flashbacks of how I used to play dolls as a little girl. And honestly I love that I can re-experience something like that with sims - let the imagination flow so freely and create my little stories. If only my loading screens didn't take like 10 minutes to load each time, I would probably do the subway idea as well.
Honestly for me the building side of it is hard, and matching the whole town to have the same vibe is even harder though

This is absolutely amazing!! I especially love the detail you put into making the world feel alive and not just “decorated”. I’m not much of a builder, but this definitely makes me want to start a save file 🤩
OHMY, i'm working on savefile too ! Thanks for the tip ! I realise, I play a lot constricted bcs of Sims 4 limitations but I also like to make a "crazy routine" for my Sims lmao So Happy to see this ! I love Ravasheen mods ! Thank you for the sub 😊 I used to only build interiors using other people’s builds, and when I got the hang of that I started this savefile to get better at building exterior stuff. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just has to be yours :)

Hot tip/Mod suggestion - if you don’t like the debug builds that are in the background of the worlds/are just annoyed with the placement of some debug items, you can download the Blowtorch mod, it’ll get rid of any debug builds in the background of the world, giving you a fresh and clean space to decorate in your save file.
I personally use it so i can decorate without having to work around the original debug item placement

@@Piixxa I understand the feeling! Theres a trusty tutorial on youtube that walks you through the process!
All *your* builds will be safe and untouched, but any debug items (Street lights, buildings, all that jazz) will be deleted, minus a few trees and foliage, giving you a blank canvas to work with :D

I used it for my save file and it allows me to customize the world to my liking and increase immersion :] You don’t have to use it if you don’t want but its really good for these types of projects!

Your builds are so realistic and beautiful!! I couldn't help but notice the bookshelf around the @21:30 minute mark with the Uzumaki, Tomie, and Gyo manga collection by Junji Ito. Do you remember where you downloaded it from? I'd love to have it in my game.

I’m at a point where I feel like NOTHING could make me enjoy playing the Sims 4. Great video though. I want to try this with my game one day. The prep work seems long. I do all the planning, but then when I actually play…my sims are the same people in different fonts.
Thank you. The game a been out for a while, with a lot of complications so I completely understand your burnout. There are some mods out there that help give your sims more personality if you haven’t already tried those! I try to take it one build at a time or I’ll loose my mind 😭

What types of lots do you always make sure are in your worlds? I’m trying to do gameplays where I don’t leave the certain world I pick to play in and it’ll be much easier to do that if I have a bunch of different types of lots to visit.
@@karisdietrich1964 I usually play until i hit a story moment. Next, i think what lots could I build for the idea I have. This isn’t concrete though so a park, nightclub, teen hangout spot, gym and a special lot(the subway from this video is an example) is what I like to keep in my worlds. Hope this helps ! 😊

Omg this is so AMAZING. Can you tell me how on Earth you got the buildings outside of your lot? I remember there being a mod that let you place objects ANYWHERE, and it worked great with the t.o.o.l mod since it got rid of the out of bounds areas that don’t let you build even with it. It also let you walk around wherever you wanted.

Hi! I use tool lol. Ive never heard of the version where you could place things outside of the lot. There is a mod for walking around anywhere, I believe its called clickable worlds by awingedllama!

hi, im curious abt how you make the households! do you make them all at once or like start with one and add more after playing them? and do they come with an already set history or do you play them for a bit to get that history? 😅 sorry just trying to know how it all started
hii! I started with the apartment block. :) from there I make sims based on a aesthetic, or story idea that I want to play. Once I decide what their backstories are I play rotationally and let things play out! I hope that answers your questions! if you want to know more about my save my tumblr and newest video will be helpful i think lol. 😭

Hello! I love your video, but I have a doubt, when I create my save file and I want to start a new game is there any way to leave it as a save file as "default" or every time I want to start a new game again I have to place lots again, add townies etc?

Yes, there two ways that you can create copies of your save file that you can play in without altering the original. The long way that gives you easier in game access to your saves is;
Once you've created your save file, make sure to rename it something so that you know it's the original copy that you don't want to touch or accidently save to. Something like DO NOT SAVE TO or DEFAULT etc. (Make a copy or two of this save file and save it to your desktop or new folder just in case your save corrupts or you accidently overwrite it)
The go into this save file and before you start playing in it, hit the options button and click SAVE AS.
This will bring up the save options menu. Click the new save option and this will create a copy of your save that has a different save file number than your original save. Rename this save so you can tell the difference between this and your OG copy.
You can do this for each new save/game you want to play as long as you don't accidently play in the save file you've marked not to save to. It will copy the save you're playing in when clicking Save As.
So for example, if you've made a copy of your OG save file and changed it but want to start a new game based on your unplayed world, you will have to make sure you enter your OG gameplay save file and save as from there. Otherwise, any new save will be a copy of the world you've already started playing in.
(You can also use the copy the save file and save it to desktop/an outside folder method by itself but the risk is that another save might take up the same save number and you'll have to drag saves in an out because you can't have two with the save number in your saves folder without overwriting one)

Sims need at least one empty and uncluttered counterspace to prep food in the kitchen.
Clutter is cool but it makes your kitchens non-functional.

first and foremost, AMAZING save file like I’m genuinely in awe with what so many simmers are able to do with this game. I have a question! What are your PC specs? Because I have a gaming laptop but my game lags a decent bit. It’s not unplayable but I really don’t wanna start from scratch with mods and cc 😭
