I chose to remove the hinges from the case then install the pin sides to the machine. Then set the machine on the case hinge plate flat horizontal and screw the hinge back to the case. Made it a one man job no finger smashing.
Seems like it’d be much easier and safer to take the hinges off the base, install them into the holes in the sewing machine, then set the machine in the base, flip the round part of the hinge into the round slot and secure it. No danger of the machine falling forward onto your hand while you’re trying to desperately tighten screws under the machine that you can’t see.
Excellent demo! I particularly like all of the descriptive engineering lingo 🤓 With over almost 20 years of sewing experience and having become familiar with more than a dozen different industrial sewing machines. I will say that without a doubt the LSZ-1 Sailrite machine is AWESOME and worth every shiny penny. I will sew on this when on business trips @/gamechanger
I enjoy your videos. They are so thorough and informative. The young lady who is doing them now seems to be just reading off of a script with no insights given. I am trying to install my new LSZ and I greatly miss your informative instructions. Perhaps after a couple of years, she may improve.
I found that loosening the hinge at the needle end of the case allowed it to move enough for me to install the head by myself. Don't loosen the hinge at the other end of the case because the motor prevents you from tightening it again.
It sounds like the retaining ring cap spring: www.sailrite.com/Retaining-Ring-Cap-Spring-for-Ultrafeeds-and-Yachtsman It is a spare that we send with each machine. You will only need it if you damage the one already installed on your machine. Keep it for the future.
hola cuantas reboliones tiene ese motor y donde se compra uno para ponerselo a la mia gracias me gusta esa maquina sailrite el precioy en donde se compra por favor bendiciones
I just received one for Christmas and tried to put it together but encountered a problem the machine isn’t flush to the base? Does anyone have this problem also?
The worker B power pack (I think) is not mounted on my machine. It looks like your model already has this installed. I think that I get how it goes but I am not sure.
The Ultrafeed Sewing Machine is built in collaboration between the United States, Taiwan and China. The subassembly of our exclusive, cast-iron machine frame is done in China, while the motors are from Taiwan. The final assembly and tuning of each machine is done in the United States at Sailrite. Additionally, several critical parts and components for the Ultrafeed are made in the United States exclusively for Sailrite and we hold patents on numerous Ultrafeed features. All content and support are produced and/or provided by Sailrite.
Putting this in the case is the worst "feature" of this otherwise great sewing machine. They really need a different design! Expecting middle aged and older men and women to balance and this very heavy machine while aligning small dark pins is too much.
Love their videos! Such good explanations!
I just set up my machine - this video was very helpful!
We're so glad to hear the video was helpful in setting up your machine. Thank you for taking the time to let us know!
Just finished setting up my LSZ-1 per the video. Went smoothly; the video was accurate and easy to follow.

That makes much more sense to me.

Just finished assembling my LSZ-1. Thank you for the video. What is the deal with the hinges? they do not look like the slide in far enough.

Hello! Watching from Africa Zambia. What sizes are those two timing belts? Thank you!
Great video!! But, I have a curved thin metal piece that came with it, that is not mentioned in the video (or maybe i missed it). Where does it go?

This video is great but needs updating for the Worker B model.

Where does the flex 20 light get plugged into? Does the machine have an outlet?
It does now, check out this new item that now comes standard with all NEW Ultrafeed Sewing Machines: th-cam.com/video/Ec_neeO2F6A/w-d-xo.html

Close your eyes… It sounds like John Lithgow is telling you how do you set up your sewing machine.
