It’s most likely in reference to X and Peep’s relationship at the time of Peep’s death. Since the EP was dedicated to them it makes sense. X wasn’t good w/ peep when he died due to Ski’s problems with Peep (in turn X’s loyalty to ski made him avoid getting to know Peep). “I know they laced pills, I bought them of purpose” was basically him admitting that he’s purchasing these drugs that are more potent just so that he can reach new heights. This is a huge part of what his addiction was, although he may have tried to deal with it, it turned into an everyday thrill seeking and a battle between him realizing this is going to kill him but not being able to stop.

Not sure who else caught it but 10:37 juice makes a reference to 13 reasons why, a popular Netflix series where one of the main character upon her untimely death leaves behind 13 tapes about her life/ struggles.
Fun fact: The song Maze by juice wrld ended up being featured in the final season of 13 reasons why, (the final dance scenes) I really appreciate production for hopefully hearing this song and then including Juice into the show years later, Maze-by juice wrld hits hard during that dance scene on 13 reasons.
