Today, I say goodbye (for a while) to my Fast And Furious movie car, a 2003 Lamborghini Murcielago, because it's going to be staying at the Petersen Automotive Museum is Los Angeles, California for the foreseeable future.
But all is not lost, because I've found ANOTHER Lamborghini Murcielago movie car project, courtesy of Sam Hard from Hard Up Garage, and I've just placed an order for my first new car ever, a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. This is going to be FUN.

honestly i'd argue it's even good for the car to stay at the Petersen, those guys take INSANE care of they cars they have on display/storage

I bet they make you keep insurance on your car when they have it.

@@WilC379 Yes. Insurance on collectible cars is very cheap anyway. I pay less per year to insure my $400k Lambo than I do my $50k Tesla because the Lambo is not a daily driver.

@@JetFire9 Dunno, its the reason people with valuable paintings loan them out to museums. Cause the museum pays for the insurance. And the museums insurance payment is lower cause of all the security bits they have.
Freddie, hopefully you got option R8C, which is for delivery of your new Z06 at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY which is only a stone’s throw from the assembly plant! And if I remember correctly, a factory tour and VIP guided museum tour is included with Museum Delivery!

The Peterson is incredible and the vault takes it to the next level. Last time I was there they had Jackie’s GT40 and a 250LM right next to each other.

Kind of a clickbaity title, but the museum seems a good place for that car considering how well it's been restored and the movie connections. I can't imagine Freddy would be driving it a lot (or even his McLaren to be honest). The C8 is the supercar "daily" he really needed, and the "new" Merci will be another fun project to follow along to. It's crazy to say, but true... the new Merci isn't even close to the roughest thing he's made great again.

Can someone please explain what is going to go down here? Tavarish is trading the Murci for another Murci and a C8, but his original Murci is staying at Peterson and he gets to keep it in the end?

First, happy to hear the Fast and Furious car is staying. It looks and sounds amazing. It will always be worth a ton, so you have an appreciating asset.
Second the new Lambo will be a great series. Great entertainment.
Third, the Z06 is the bomb. It is real super car material. It looks better. It sounds like a Ferrari but with more HP. It is a tour de force.

Imagine Tavarish sitting at his computer reading your comment and thinking "oh yeah shit good advice Ed" and the next video he puts up without a clickbait title gets 1/10th of the views. There's a reason why these guys do this and it's because they get more views, many outside of his subscriber base, and that's what makes them money. If you, as I imagine a sensible and reasonable person, ignore the title and simply watch the video, then what's the issue?

I almost commented on where you could find a engine and gearbox for your new project. It came from Miami and ended up here in South Africa as a donor car. Ohhh and it was in a red LP640.

Thought you sold the first Murci at first. Love the fact you’re getting the sister Vehicle. Good idea with your plan for it. As for the C8, the upcoming Z06 is a beast of a whole new manner. It’s my favorite Corvette ever to be produced at this point because it’s all around that unique compare to the rest that have been produced.
