Soooo, quick question on this> What would cause one of the two bottles to collapse in, into itself almost instantly after starting the bike with this type of setup? Stuck choke circuit in the carb? Or is there a possibility that a stuck engine valve could cause something like that?
You can't use plastic bottles, unless they are very sturdy. Use glass for best results. There is a surprising amount of vacuum force on these when doing this.
Made the setup myself. I believe the bottles are Snapple bottles. Black corks from the hardware store. Blue silicon tubing from the pet store (used for aquarium air pumps). The blue fluid is just water with a few drops of blue food coloring in it.
isnt idle to fast a bit ? sound like its like 1100 rpm i ive mine idle screw to 600 rpm then ajustement to sync but not sure what to right idle in the book
Hello, thank you for the video, can't find what screw needs to be adjust because they said here in California is not permited mess with the air/fuel mixture screws. Can tou take some close pictures of it? Thanks in advance
@@avelinovalencia7431 this is not the air fuel mixture screw. This is synchronizing the carbs. Meaning you make sure the throttle valves are behaving the same way in relation to the throttle cable. Twist the throttle on your virago. In the middle of the two carbs you should a metal piece moving around. There's a screw with a spring wrapped around it. Ordered a Manometer gonna be doing this myself in a few days. Oh and i have the control valves so i can steady the needles / reading.

Was posted 6 years ago but fyi manufacture aka Yamaha states sync should be set at 2000 rpm not at idle
where are you connecting the vacuum hose?
top of the rubber boots between the carbs and the cylinders.

The rpm in idle should be around 1000
there supposed to idle between 980 and 1010
What are you a adjusting. And where's is it exactly
There's a screw to synchronize the carbs. Get a service manual pdf, you should find on the internet.
