I love this song so much, both this version and Josh Groban's. I don't consider it to be a Christian song, though, in any way, shape for form. Every world religion is as valid as any other. After all, we are all in this world together. We all came into this world the same way and we'll all be going out the same way. The keys is getting along with and respecting one another while we are in this particular place and always realizing that we are loved.
I can imagine my Heavenly Father saying this to me.

Here's what Dan said in a pinned comment when he posted this song on September 12, 2016: "Hey guys. September is the international month of suicide prevention. Lots of people are going through almost unbearable pain right now and very simple things, like the lyrics of a song, can mean the world to a person who is almost giving up. Show to this person that someone cares."
It's very important to Dan that nobody ever gives up on himself (or anyone else, for that matter). If anyone is having problems hanging on right now (sometimes the holiday times can make people feel that way--not to mention the times we are going through, over-all), Matt has reacted to another one of Dan's songs of encouragement: "Heart Of Steel" - MANOWAR cover. You can find it here, on Matt's channel, or you can go and listen to it on Dan's channel. Dan has a a wonderful intro message that he speaks in Brazilian Portuguese, and you can watch it with closed captions on.
I just love all the songs that Dan Vasc has covered. It's like he gives the songs new meaning and new life. I have been blessed with many of his songs. Especially with the emotion he puts into these songs. Have fun going down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole and God bless you sir.

I think he re-recorded this song, because I’ve seen it where he had a message afterward talking about suicide.
This cover has a note about suicide in the description. Another of his covers, "Heart of Steel," has a spoken message (in Portuguese with English subtitles) about suicide.
I've been down a bit this past week and convinced God does NOT love me. It's a tough place to be. Trying to take this to heart.
Don’t let satan’s lies get you down. If we cannot DO anything to earn His love, how could we possibly DO anything to make Him not love us?

Great song with a great message
Just subscribed to your reactions. I really like and need the faith that you bring. Dan has said, in one of his personal videos, that he suffered from depression at a point in his life which included spending two years isolated in his room. This was dedicated in a September (suicide awareness month) He has a good heart. This really touched me.
