  • This was the most exhilarating part during our visit at the RC Powerboat Event in the Netherlands. Ray revved up the turbine engines with an ear shattering soundtrack coming out of the turbines. A very fine piece of German engineering indeed!

Extremely cool. Wish I could own one but I’ll stick to electric and pretend I’ve got two turbines inside haha

Yeah, this technology is not cheap and easy.

I’ve never seen such a large RC boat before, mainly because i’m so used to seeing those smaller foot-sized ones.

This boat carries a lot of machinery, packed to the brim with power. And all the power should propel some mass, or else it will fly through the air most of the time.

I would not know. Unfortunately, boats could not go that day, they were both out of order.

Probably because they don't make the SPM5 turbine anymore. I'm not even sure they'll service them. The turbines yes but the gearboxs I doubt they make parts for anymore. Sad because it was the only turbine model made for boats and when I asked them they have no intentions of making them anymore.
