I suspect the containment will not hold if the winds pick back up spreading hot burning embers to dry brush/housing materials that will most likely catch fire from the hot burning embers.
The neigbborhoods that are directly on the active edge are similar to Altadena, with larger landscaped lots that provide so much fuel while also presenting barriers to ground attack.
Do you think there's a decent chance that the fire will burn the actual city of Los Angeles? That sounds like an apocalypse movie, but it wouldn't be the first time it's happened. Also what are the chances of it getting to Beverly Hills? UCLA? USC? I ask because Notch and many celebrities live in Beverly Hills, and I have a friend who goes to one of the big schools in the area.
The active edge of the Palisades fire is gradually creeping right into some dense neighborhoods. I'm very nervous about what this is setting up for the next few days.
And many of those neighborhoods don't even have evacuation warnings. I don't understand this. You get a little thunderstorm or campfire they act like it's the end of the world, but a massive wildfire rapidly moving toward your area is nothing to worry about?
So glad I found you again! I was stuck at the airport while my family was stuck on PCH night of 1/7. Thank you to Austin and Blondie too (and maybe one other mod i'm not sure) We're good here. I hope Austin is okay. I lost his channel too..I would have been in the dark if not for you guys. I gave my phone away and can't recover my original youtube account but I wanted to thank you guys for doing you. 🙏 -Las Scandales
Even more significant: the NATIVE flora is drought and fire resistant. The chaparral around these urban areas is full of invasive/introduced species like pepper weed, globe eucalyptus, and scrub palm. Eucalyptus in particular absolutely explodes in drought conditions.
Thank you so much for this update hopefully everyone near those fires stay safe. 🙏❤️
Thanku for continuing to cover this
Praying your brother and brother’s home stays safe 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
Thank you for open scale map orientation. I have fam and friends in visited locations. You are helping me monitor the situation.
Thanks Evan! Cat
The government knows how to cloud seed. They need to utilize that tool in California
Why would they put out their own creation? That would be counterproductive!
3:49 PDS Godzilla Warning for LA on Monday 😱
Oh no 🙏
Mornin'
This is so heartbreaking. Thank you for keeping all us updated on the weather. Not just now, but always. ❤
You should be on tv doing the weather, your better than those that are on tv. Wow, you and Max Velocity are damn good.

Hope and prayers sent! Thanks Evan
Do you think Doc Brown's mansion (the Gamble house) will burn down?
Also, didn't Malibu already burn? I thought the fire was mostly done there and is now moving northeast (exactly where they said it wouldn't go).
🙏🙏🙏

Oh, look at the funny lizard playing in the water.
Omg that's hilarious and also terrifyingly true.

Thank you for covering my city Evan 🙏⚘️
LA was my home town in Whittier in the 70s 80s early 90s in Kansas (s.e.) thanks for the update.
I have no words. California needs a miracle. 😢
this is just a respite... when winds pick up later, shit really gonna hit the fan..so, time to leave and move far away ...
Thanks Evan. Prayers for your brother's safety as well as all the people out in California fighting for their lives and livelyhood.

PRO TIP: Green living trees/leaves contain a large percentage of water and aren`t combustible. A lot of people don`t seem to understand this.
