If you have a hard disk light maybe you can actually see if there is any activity. I am installing on an AMD Athlon XP, very trash-y PC for today's requirements. It has an HDD light and maybe if it stops blinking or staying on and, say 10 minutes after it stops, there is nothing happening, you can do it. Just my guess, not really into editing the registry.
Man 2021, with a laptop really bad I had to downgrade to windows 7 but it always gave me boot errors and then that staying stuck on the complete install... Thx mate for the tutorial

Thank you man, I only did the first step "explorer.exe" and it worked for me. I am using a DELL laptop, so I had to press "Fn+Shift+F10" to open the terminal.

@@UltimateDIY yeah it's fixed now. I got the mouse and keyboard to work and I realized that if I will wait a little bit longer I don't need the shift+f10 anymore, it installed perfectly.
if you havent fixed it follow these steps restart by hand when the error comes up hit instantly shift+f10 it comes cmd in cmd type regedit follow the instruction as in video.

@@viskyranjan maybe you installed the wrong Win version. The key is either for Home, Pro or Ultimate or what W7 versions were at that time.

Try another version of windows 10. I had the same problem with windows 10 pro but it worked normally for windows 10 home version and I installed it!

Yes, a hdd light is gold, but sadly most modern laptops don't have one anymore. We need to check in task manager and see if the hdd is busy or not.

Se pare ca problema era ca stick-ul era făcut pe modul GPT(UEFI) și Windows-ul de pare ca se instala pe acel laptop doar sub modul MBR.
Scuze ca nu am apucat sa raspund, am avut o gramada de chestii de rezolvat azi. Ma bucur ca ai gasit problema.
