- Hope you guys enjoyed hearing about my Epiduo experience! I started it in August 2017, and now it's March 2018 so I thought that was enough time to see some pretty great results! What have you guys tried for your acne?

Im using epiduo but my face is not peeling and I'm not feeling the stingy effect. Not that I don't like it but it seems that it's not working for me since I'm not experiencing those cons.

Whoever is starting epiduo my advice to them is to not give up and keep on with the process !! My skin was at its worse 3 months ago I swear. From big infection bumps , blackheads and the worse acne scars . I cried almost everyday and wanted to give up. Especially around my purging stage. I gave the topical about 3 months and I say today in January my skin is 90% clear . Don’t give up ! 💛
Recommend moisturizer with it . My skin is burning when I sweat

If your going to use epiduo, you need to be PATIENT, give it time. I’ve used epiduo and I’ve seen improvement within 1 week but that doesn’t mean you will too, its different for everybody.
guys! this product is amazing. I got prescribed it and saw amazing results in 3 months. yes, it makes your skin dry, use moisturizer. But now, I have 0 acne.

Jodie Ellis hi! I just started it about 3 weeks ago. For the first 2 weeks my skin burned sooo bad but i kept moisturizing and it stopped burning! My skin is purging right now though so it’s really broken out :/
I just started using it my derm said to leave it on for two hours then wash off before bed - and then gradually use it as a nights cream - but ur saying I should use a moisturiser on top?

I’ve been using epiduo for 3 weeks and my skin is currently purging so it’s breaking out so bad. I feel so self conscious and I don’t want to leave my house :(
EDIT: update!! I have been using it for 5 weeks, and wow. This stuff worked. My chin and cheeks were purging but they cleared up, just scars now. My forehead just began purging, but it’s okay because now I know the process and am looking forward to more results !! :)😃 have a great day and if you’re using this stay strong and you’re beautiful !🤩

Jonathan David both of my cheeks are clear and scars are going away. My forehead is for the most part clear as well. No more burning either

@@sara.sara.478 ive been on it for 2 years and it worked well, but I broke out pretty bad 3 months ago and got off of it. The derm told me to start it again. So a little skeptical but going to start doing it again and see if my sking gets better.
Epiduo worked for me. I swear. How I wish I knew about this long time ago. Could have save me money from trial and error and prevented my scarring from the start.
Did you continue using it until now?
I still have a bottle but I find it too drying now. Instead, I use Neutrogena daily leave-on mask. But epiduo was the one that really fixed my acne. I just use the neutrogena as maintenance because it is less drying

Does epiduo also get rid of acne scars?
@@lune4916 yup, overtime. As it makes your skin turnover faster. If it’s too drying you can trying Differin. It worked for me too, much milder and you don’t need prescription
If anyone using epiduo is experiencing flaking/red/burning on their skin, try applying Vaseline. Really helped me calm my skin down. Hope it helps 👍🏽

please don't use vaseline... I'm also on an epiduo treatment for about 6 months and I totally don't recommend vaseline as a moisturizer because it closes the pores which lead to breakouts. try to use any other vaseline free moisturizer
I have started using epiduo. This is how I do it and it really helps if you want to keep things simple! After I wash my face, I put in a thin layer of epiduo on my problem areas - wait 15-20 minutes and pat a thin layer of la roche posay buame cicaplast balm all over my face. It’s helps me with dryness and irritation. Above all, it’s really good for your skin!

@@madieinez732 Yeah. It doesn’t hurt anymore though. When it did hurt, I used moisturizer a half hour after applying the epiduo. That helped a lot.

Try build it up do it little by little and get ur skin used to it and slightly increase it each time make sure U USE MOISTURISER if its burning and flaking or swelling stop for a couple of days moisturise with a non fragrance moisturiser and when u feel ur skin is better start again and use a moisturiser 30 mins after the cream

6 days into it too..and my skin feels like its on fire.the only thing calms it down is la roche posay cicaplast b5 balm. I only use it at night..incase it clogs my pores and causes more break out. I heard vani cream could be a good option too

i’m using epiduo right now, already on the 5th day and my skin has already cleared up a lot, but i’m at the stage of my skin going red, burning ish and peeling. any products to calm that down??
There's a really good dermatologist on TH-cam called Dr Dray, who talks similarly about Differin, and recommends loads of good products. I needed a really thick heavy moisturiser, so I started using Nivea Day Cream and put this on top of Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel for added moisture. You want to check your products don't have any salycilic acid in, or say things like "for acne" because these products will react with the retinoid and increase the irritation. Good luck! I did this skin regime for a year and now my skin is clear!

I'm using epiduo for about two weeks and it helped sm! My forehead is almost completely clear, my left cheek used to be infected and red and the pimples just wouldn't go away but it got better within days. It's no longer red anymore and it healed sm (not completely, but it's a huge improvement). Now to the bad sides: the first few days everything was fine. But now my face is red, it's stretching and my skin is pulling itself of. Plus it burns like hell when I moisturize it. It's like I put acid on it. My skin dosen't feel like skin anymore and right now it's burning even when I applied my moisturizer an hour ago. I think I'll just take a little pause and leat my skin heal a bit before I'll apply it again bc it's not funny anymore. But I'm a bit surprised how strong the side effects are. I've been hearing about it and that it always gets worse in the first few weeks, that it's normal for the skin to pull itself off and that the skin gets dry but I just heard people talking about it who already had sensitive and dry skin. But my skin used to be oily and quiet robust. It changed within a few days to the complete opposite and I really wish my oily skin back. But I guess I just have to go trough it :/
Do u still have acne?
Try using it 3 times a week until you build tolerance. Then dont forget moisturize properly. I use cerave moisturizing cream esp around the nose area and chin
tonight is my 3rd night of epiduo, and weirdly the burns just started today.

Yeah I was exactly the same, the irritation started on day 3 for me, red, tight, stinging, peeling skin. To combat this I’ve started using it every other night rather than every night, and I’ve also started applying my cerave moisturiser before applying the epiduo. This has really helped and my skin feels a lot less angry! 😊
Im so emotional because you posting this made me have hope. I have had the same experience with not having any acne AT ALL all of my life until my first year of college. I am currently in the middle of 4 weeks of epiduo. My skin is purging but i will stay strong and be patient. Thank you very much.

I’m using it on parts of my face bc I can’t deal with the purge all over my face otherwise I’ll get really self conscious I’m using it on my chin rn
the dermatologist i went to also prescribed me a moisturizer (la roche posay - toleriane ultra) and she said i have to use it every morning, that if i use it at night i should apply it first then wait half an hour and apply epiduo. and that if my skin doesn’t tolerate it i should use it every other day

Whoever is using this cream, I want to say please don't give up. Your skin will get worse for the first 2-3 weeks but after that it will start getting better. Don't stop.

I just started using epiduo 3 days ago , my face broke out really bad after my last period and gave me bad acne scars and rash. After 3 days I see a great improvement. Still some bumps but not as bad as it used to look. Still going on with my epiduo journey. Wish me luck 🤞🏾
How was it for you after a year? Do you still use it till now? I’m scared of stopping epiduo because the acne may comeback worst
idunno so I’m still on Epiduo as we speak. I stop at one point and my skin broke out again. I’m currently on bc as well because my acne is hormonal. Help a lot

When you wash your face before applying the Epiduo at night, be gentle. Do not scrub or rub your skin roughly before applying the Epiduo otherwise it will burn. Be gentle even when drying it.❤️❤️
My epiduo was so expensive, my insurance didn’t cover it so it was going to be almost $600... so I got a coupon and now it’s only $75

@@adinanicoletabolea401 Apparently early on, Epiduo does the "purge" stage where it pushes all the acne to the surface to get rid of it. So you'll get heaps of acne for a little while, then it'll all go away

Epiduo saved my neck acne it was always inflamed full of acne and after almost 3weeks of epiduo the acne is completely gone
I wish I would’ve realised earlier, that skincare products really won’t do much if you have a skin condition like acne. In the end, skincare products are exactly that, products. And capitalism wants you to keep buying, so obviously it won’t cure you, because then you won’t be buying them anymore.

Okay so I have bad skin, i have those tiny bumps on my cheeks, forehead and chin as well since recently, also some pimpels all over my face pretty much
:(( my dermatologist gave me epidumo for the acne on my shoulders, and she said i could use it on my face ass well only on the spots and my t-zone. I know my skin will get worse in the first few months so im really scared to start using it :( Im scared i will give up and want to stop using it, im scared to go outside with bad acne, im scared of what others will think and im scared i will have a mental breakdown bc of how bad it wil look :( ...
hey! i got prescribed it over a year ago now and trust me it's worth it! for me personally, i only experienced purging within the first month and a half but after that my skin was clear and I was only left with scars. they eventually faded away after like a month. it was a little hard to go outside and at some times i wanted to give up and i didn't want to go outside in public, but you have to remember to stay positive and trust the process! after your acne clears, everything that you go through is worth it! good luck and patience is key!
What moisturizers do you used before putting epiduo because in my skin it's so freaking dry and it Hurt's
M Christian I used Cetaphil, when it got so dry that moisturizer burned, I would skip a day. I do think that moisturizing with a simple one is nice. The cera ve moisturizer is good too. The burning goes away completely after a couple of months.

Eucerin mousturiser was suggested by dermotologist after applying wait for 20 mts and go with epiduo gel
Paige Parker i tried it and the rosehip oil works for like a 1 min then my skin becomes dry again
I just started using it this week and tonight I must have applied too much cause it BURNED so bad! I ended up having to wash it off cause I’m so worried about it leaving my skin red and irritated. Even after washing it off my whole chin area feels so irritated! My dermatologist told me if I have a bad reaction I can do every other day for the first few weeks. This video really helped calm my nerves hearing that you also experienced some side effects. Hoping I get the same great results as you!!

I purged till i cried it was painful and it gets worse than before . Three months later you cannot look at my face and not ask what i use my skin is like glass its clearing the scars too . My advice keep going dont look back it hurts yes frustrating yes painful but keep going
Hi, I have just started my epiduo journey about 5 days ago. Touch wood so far so good. Don't see any drastic improvement but also haven't got many side effects YET. However, I am continuously worrying about whether im user the right cleaner and moisturiser. Can people please comment on what they are using with this? I am currently using cerave hydrating cleanser and neutogena hydroboost gel-cream. Is this ok or should i be using something more heavy in the evenings?

this is the first time i've ever commented on a video. ever. and it's to say thank you. i just started getting noticeable breakouts - just red bumps - along my jawline which i'd never had and immediately freaked out. i saw a Dermatologist a week later, because like you say, it was already taking a HUGE hit on my confidence. i am getting the prescription today and just watching this has been so so so helpful and taken off so much stress from the journey to come. and makes me feel so much less alone - i've never had acne until now at 24 and i just felt awful when she told me it was acne. so i can't say it enough, thank you for this.

I’ve used epiduo on ny chest and back, it didn’t make a difference at first but after 4-5 weeks I saw some improvements. After 5 weeks, I saw much more improvements and my skin started punging absolutely fast.

My dermatologist recommended and I’m using it, it’s been a month using epiduo and my skin is super dry, and its peeling off my acne scars, also I am suffering from many side effects like redness, rashes i feel like burning my skin and sometimes it’s annoying! im using epdiuo for almost three months now. the redness on my cheeks are still there and got some new pimples too. but im seeing some differences already compared to almost three months ago. im trying to be patient and see if it will work. my derma wants me to try something else but will need to do liver test and it scared me so much so im just gonna stick with epiduo for now.

Bobby Jang I am using epiduo too. It’s 3rd day, applied everywhere except on eyelids and lips. It burns so bad!! I’ll apply only on affected areas from tomorrow😰
I started using epiduo a year before. It does shows results after maximum 3 months. My acne was cleared even the PIE & PIH. I have some pit scars. At first skin will become sensitive and flaky. I didn't have any purging or acne flaring up i think it's because my face was already worse lol. Make sure to use hell lot of moisturizer the next morning and DON'T SKIP YOUR SUNSCREEN. The redness and all will fade once your skin gets used to it. Be patient.

Yeah, when I was just using the epiduo. It burned a lot so I stopped but the only thing that worked for me was mix some oil free moisturizer and the cream together then put it on my face and it didn’t have any pain or redness. (The dermatologist told me to do that)
@@dinotsukki5469 update, i went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist told me i was having a severe reaction to it, extreme burning, rash and just red and patchy, she advised me to stop using it and to apply a cortisone cream, i now just use it as a spot treatment on my neck area but my face didnt react so i use it all over. the burning was terrible that i was almost in tears, if anyone is having really bad burning like this definitely stop using it, slight burning that goes away pretty quickly is fine but anything severe definitely stop using it!

hi I got epiduo from my dermajoligist (I can't spell) and it really really reallyyyy drys out your skin however it is worth it my skin is extremely bad and I have been using it since june until august and my skin was EXTREMLY clear and with most people my skin didn't break out before it cleared I would have really dry skin like it would flake but its so good and really changed my appearance

I started using Epiduo since 3 weeks. First two days were okay but on the 3rd day my face was literally burning. I couldn’t leave it on even for 30 minutes so I washed it off. But it was burning even while applying moisturiser. 4th and 5th day were even worse. It was painful washing my face cause it was so dry. I only applied a lot of moisturiser and on the 6th day I used Epiduo over moisturiser. Wasn’t that painful. Since then, it hasn’t hurt so bad and if it does, I just skip that day or wash it off in an hour or apply only over moisturiser. My skin has become far better and there haven’t been any harsh effects lately.
Just been prescribed this! Taking antibiotics for 5 days and then straight on to this. This is the first video I’ve watched about it and it seems promising already.

Should i apply it only on the pimples or on the whole area of my chin (my pimples are placed on my chin).I am very irritated and i don’t know if i should apply it on my pimples only.Thank you for your time💓
Hey there! You should apply it on the entire area that has acne (avoid lips and eyes). Use it 30 mins after you have cleansed your face, at night, so that your skin is completely dried. And make sure to use one pump only and massage if well into the skin. If you have sensitive skin, you can apply a moisturizer before, but wait for it to be completely absorbed. Oh and don’t forget the spf if you go out in the sun! Have patience, I am on my third week and my skin is still breaking out here and there but the inflammation and redness have subsided. Hope this helps in any way!
i have been using epiduo for about 2 months maybe 3 and i hasn't worked yet i'm still a pimply mess. I so badly wanted to clear my skin up during quarantine but it hasn't happened and i am so upset. I am almost out of the epiduo and contemplating whether to get another bottle and keep going but idk. How long did it take everyone to get results because i feel like i have waited for veer and want it to work right now.

@@Dertitvt oh girl i stopped ages ago my skin was so shit it was covered in pimples everywhere so i started Accutane in jan and now my skin just has very red acne scars and a few raised pimples on my cheeks, epiduo did not work.
I’m on my 6th day of it and it BURNS and my skin is becoming really dry but it’s part of the purge phase. My dermatologist told me my skin will look worse before it goes better because the epiduo is pulling out diets to the top of your skin
right now. it hurts. like hell. i went to a dermatologist who also prescribed me epiduo and i got it so i started looking up videos about how it works. so thank you for sharing this! i’ve been using it for about 6 days now, the first 3 days went so simple, i didn’t feel anything, but now. duuude. i’ve never felt such a pain in my face before. but i’ve already seen changes!

I can definitely vouch for this product I tried epiduo when I was 15 now I'm 23 but I used it up until I was 20 and that was the only product that got my face free from acne i started seeing results after 2 weeks of it drying out my cystic acne about a month and a half of using it my face was clear of acne completely!!! and it pretty much stayed like that as I kept using it. I would get little bumps here and there but it would go away quickly and would not accumulate all throughout my face. I have used alot of products since then and I still feel epiduo was the best the only reason I stopped using it is cause I had got new insurance and it wouldn't pay for it. But you guys please don't be afraid to use it . It does sting a little and dry you out in the beginning but just make sure to use a good moisturizer, a gentle cleanser and a good spf & your skin will flourish!!!!!!!
I was also scared to use it back then too because of all the burning and drying reviews from others but for me my skin is really tough so I didn't get any major stinging or drying I had some dry patches and that was pretty much it. But I just applied alot of moisturizer. I would say you really only need one pump it will have your face feeling like a desert if you do more but I hope this helped someone 🙂

It's been a week I have started using this and I,m having a slight burning sensation under my eyes and athe area around my mouth, also I feels like my blackheads are getting bigger and it's spreading all over my face :(

I was using retinol 0.1% + bakuchiol and I was purging for 8 weeks. Luckily, I had a consultation with a dermatologist and she prescribed me Epiduo and advised me to no longer use the retinol. I’m hoping that I still have the patience once I experience irritation due to Epiduo because this retinol didn’t do anything to my skin but to make it worse.
I have been using epiduo for about 3 weeks now. The first time i started to use it daily, my skin was hurting so bad and it was red and dry and stuff. But than i switched my cleansers (cerave renewing thiny to a different one, dont know the name rn). Than I also used almond oil cuz my skin was really dry and my mum doesnt want me to buy a moisturizer. But i dont know if epiduo is working because im not purging, my skin doesn't burn in the sun (i use sunsreen) and i dont have any irritations anymore

Elisaveta E it made my skin soooo red & dry and would burn my face making it so sensitive during the first week but now the redness has calmed down Abit. My skin looks abit better already than before I used epiduo but still really dry skin x

My dermatologist suggested I apply moisturizer first and then epiduo. I’m on week three and I don’t have any irritation, just some minor peeling on the nose.

3 days in really hope it helps , I apply it at night after letting my moisturizer sit on my face , I haven't experienced any redness or difference in my skin , is this a sign it's not working or have I just not reached that point yet ?

Cristiana Radu yeah, it’s normal to get lots of pimples during the first few weeks. My skin was covered in pimples, it was red, it burned as soon as I touched it. But it goes over. Keep using the product and have patience. It’s been 1 month since I started and my skin is already much better. I have like “only “3 pimples on my face now. 😂

Ive been on Epiduo almost 4 months and my face still burns? I can't take it anymore. (I always have moisturizer on) .I put it on my face before sleeping at night and it takes 30 min before I can sleep because it burns så bad. It even burns when I put cetaphil moisturiser on
