Hey guys! Apologies for the random micro-zoom adjustments throughout the video. These were automatic inputs from my camera. Not sure why it was happening but will see how to fix that for future videos! Enjoy!
Thanks! It depends on which way they’re landing/taking off on a given day. If you want close up regardless of direction, Central or Terminal B parking (need a pass from Massport). 4R/9 ops: Castle Island 22/27 ops: Constitution Beach, Bayswater St, Winthrop, Coughlin Park 33L/27 ops: Deer Island, Coughlin Park
If you want awesome head-on spots then the following: 4R/9 ops: Bayswater Street/Constitution Beach, Coughlin Park 22 ops: Castle Island 33L ops: Constitution Beach
Castle Island can be a scenic spot for arrivals but only works for 4R arrivals. 22 departures do come head-on at Castle Island but it’s not really a good vantage point. The airfield elevation compared to Castle Island’s elevation obscures most of the takeoff roll from 22L/R departures, and Runway 9/27 operations are too far away for good content. Simply put, it’s great for watching planes with your own eyes, it’s bad for TH-cam content.
Yeah for non-TH-cam spotting it’s great but for TH-cam content generally 4R is the most annoying to film for good content. Nearly all of the close-up locations to spot 4R arrivals have some form of obstruction including Castle Island. Only time 4R arrivals has provided good content for us has been when filming head-on arrivals from Bayswater Street, especially when filming the heavies arriving as they use the whole length to slow down. Our most recent video showing that perspective is “20 Minutes of Logan Planespotting” filmed August 18th of last year.
@loganspotters Agree...the shot quality varies widely depending on where you watch...I love the end runway streams for the touchdown close ups...but there are other good ones

Thank you! Glad you liked it!
Super video, thank you.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it
Great video, where do you think is the best place to spot aircraft? not for TH-cam content just for some sightseeings, cheers 😃

Thanks I’ve recently got a pair of binoculars so I’ll definitely go plane spotting at some point, when the weather clears up eventually
didnt know Smokey Bear was a pilot! 💨
We didn’t either but we found out in the coolest way possible
@@loganspotters whos that
@@mohamediaouf7565 Was a popular American character associated with fire safety. Smokey the Bear
_We were as blown away as you're about to be when we realized Lufthansa's A340-600 could take 4R!_
Did you mean 22R?
I did and I’m gonna tweak that now thanks! XD

@@loganspotters Even as far back as the Expressway looks good for 4R arrivals

@loganspotters If I lived in Dorchester or South Boston, or Quincy, I'd invest in a good camera for those 4R approaches
