Good overview. This finally convinced me to get a VTOL Cruza! Because I would only do VTOL with iNav controller, not old Ardupilot. I also like the front camera placement (forward & down) for a full unobstructed view of the ground. I could do that on a plane but one bad landing and the gimbal and camera can be damaged but not so with VTOL! Now I need to decide between the mini T1 or the big T2! 😄 BTW, at 58:00, apparently iNav 8 now allows UART control of the CADDX GM3 gimbal. So with just two wires, you can control _all_ channels of the GM3 gimbal including stabilized roll! I have yet to check verify this.
Yes, I'll be looking forward to that, but I want to test this in the final release when this comes out. We should also be able to control the modes of the gimbal as well as the gain channel for the stbailisaiton strenght. Thanks for letting me know though! Regarding the T1 vs. T2, both are very capable planes. T1 offers supreme practicality because of it's size as well as a decent flight time. I tested it and got about 30min on a GNB 3000mAh Li-ion 4S pack made with VTC6 cells, which is very decent. Flight time improves significantly to about 45-50min with a GNB 4000mAh 4S pack made with Samsung 40T cells. Overall, I think that the T2 is just built better and more robust. I crashed standard version with about 60-70km/h into a tree due to FC failure and not a single thing broke. All components were well protected by the almost 2cm super strong foam allround. It has has better accesibility for all components as well as better cooling for the VTX in the front. The only thing is cooling in the back where the FC and battery are located. On a sunny summer day, my FC reached a temperature of 85 degrees centigrade and failed mid flight, causing a crash. This was directly atributed to poor cooling. On the other hand, you have plenty of acces and volume, allowing you to space out components , which is better because you just get better reception on everything. On the T1 everything is cramed into one cell so to say. On the other hand, the T2 is just a big and heavy plane, especially the VTOL version. Having the transportation box makes things easier, but it's large. Personally, I like both planes as they offer something special for their category. My advice, get the T2, I think it's better overall (although on the expensive side). Get the T1 if you want something small and solid, it's an excellent plane. I'm getting the VTOL of the T1 next :D
hello sir, thank you so much for this amazing video, is it possible to provide me with your email because i want to send you an email to ask you for something because i am trying to make a vtol
Unfortunately, I can't provide you with my email, but the channel does have a Dicrod channel and you can join that if you like and ask a question there. Here is the link for that: discord.com/channels/1082026163746115645/1318867223691001886
