He mentioned the azov battalion. I watched one of the docs and it was magnifying the issue. Ukraine has nationalist and race problem for sure just like much of the world, maybe even more so. Doesn't make russia right here. Despite thevfact that there seema to be little diversity there, most ukrainians dont seem to identify with nationalism.

Yes but the government worked really hard at eliminating them from even the Azov unit and while they do have a political party, they have never won more than 2% of the vote. By contrast, most European Nations have worse Neo-Nazi problems than Ukraine. Note also that they only ever arose because Putin invaded Crimea in 2014.

Witness accounts are emerging in volumes that in Mariupol Asov fighters killed huge numbers of sivilians who tried to flee, that Azov bombed the residential quarters in gruesom ways in order to attribute these atrocities to russian forces, that Azov fighters shot people when they even tried to emerge from the basements and even inside the basements. Azov fighters deliberately placed heavy artillery in the residential quarters. Their snipers occupied private apartments by force and held residents as hostages. There were accounts of rape and many more of violent and inhuman behaviour towards civilians of Mariupol. All witnesses say they were scared of Azov.

French people should know what Nazis are, and what they do. But apparently they forgot. You may have rewritten history so here’s the deal, the worst people in the world invaded your country several decades ago. French people who opposed this were slaughtered. Americans and the Allies freed France at the cost of many young lives. The Ukrainian’s have a military unit, the Azov Battalion, that is steeped in Nazi ideology and symbols. It’s not a misunderstanding, it’s ignorance on the part of France.
