Nice. I do think hamsters to make it look like the bicycle was powered by hamsters might be a good idea. There's also those computerized LED's the you mount to make the entire wheel act like a video screen and people even play music videos on such setups on pimped cars, so this is more a case of an old school zoetrope. Those lines of LED's spinning around are often called holographs though they have nothing to do with holography.
Great idea!
I like the Hamsters concept 👍
@@brianfergus839 Yes I thought the same!
With lighting wired to pulse only at alignment of the spokes, this would work great with the naked eye, at least in low ambient light conditions. It'd also make an excellent attention grabber for night biking safety.
Neat! I have a modification suggestion. Add LEDs and a timer or position sensor, to make one or all creatures illuminate briefly, so that no camera or strobe light is needed.
Exactly! I was going to suggest the same thing. With a position sensor the robot would always be seen in the same spot instead of moving forwards or backwards.
This is absolutely awesome !!!!
Well done...It looks very cool!
Love it. Well done.
That is amazing. !
I can't afford a cell phone, but I can see it when I blink real fast. :)
Generally speaking, AC current runs a 60hz. So regular street lights have a pulse to them, especially now with LED lights. I havent done the math yet, but it stands to reason if the wheel is spinning at the right speed, the effect will appear.
Only in the US and Canada. Most other countries run 50Hz. But your comment still stands.
It would be really cool to have a strobe on the hub so just the bottom is illuminated.
Now that would be an awesome addition.
You could make that with an LED light with a reed switch and a magnet on each piece.
I LOVE this! Also that is crazy someone ripped off your design and video when you are so generous to give us the design! Do you have other designs for zoetropes (esp Bikes?)
When I was kid we thought colored crepe paper threaded through our spikes was cool 🖖🏼
Very cool!
Very cool 👍
Now I just need a 3d printer :/ very cool
For riding at night - A tiny LED strobe aimed at the bottom figure, and timed to the speed of the wheel.
awesome
Very nice
some how if we turn spkoes invisible, it will look absolutely amazing, also you can use color will look even cool.
Step away from the pipe.
May I suggest some fun reflective designs for wheelchairs?
Wheelchairs don't go fast enough.
@@johnhernandez3134 I saw a guy commit suicide down a steep hill, once. I know it's a small market, but maybe he'd have changed his mind, when he glanced down at the spokes?
Your voice has this hint of sadness, that draws me in like the illusionary motion of a flipbook. 24 frames per second at least. Cute and Sad, name of my album with Post Malone. 😹
Clever!
Why cant you see the animation withnaked eye?
love it
I owuld love something like this for my car wheels
Awesome
That´s so cool and clever !.
I pretty much look at everything through my cell phone camera these days.
great! is the only model ?
You should make one.
You really can't see in-person? Because of frame rate or something?
I'm a little confused. Seems like the movement illusion would be perceptible no matter what you saw it with.
Also, kinda defeats the point if normal onlookers don't see it.
"Doesn't work with the naked eye..." -then what good is it?
exactly
My headlights only work at night.
More to the point...WHAT GOOD ARE YOU?
HAVE YOU CREATED ANYTHING TODAY? 🤡
❤❤❤❤
You guys are making zeotropes feel like they have a use again.
Genious
Genius.
cool -
No real point if it can't be seen as you ride by. You should figure a way to fix a strobe to the bike that flashes in time with the bike speed. Ride faster and it will flash faster. That would be pretty cool in the dark , otherwise, i don't see this one winning the contest
Or you can just attach a playing card to the wheel with a clothes pin. You don't even need a cell phone or strobe light.
Where can I get one
Did you watch/listen to the video?
Nice....how it look like if we run at 40 kmph
You'd win an Olympic gold medal.
@@mrmark8603 meaning?
@@tpvidz7104 " if we run at 40 kmph" you'd win an Olympic gold medal. (For running!)
@@mrmark8603 ha ha...my question is serious....if we runt at that much speed will still that illusion seen...
@@tpvidz7104 It's the strobe "stopping" the image, that causes the effect.
WOW ! You have invented free power ! And now paint them green and scare some Americans.
That would be neat to see, but you'd have ride your bicycle in one spot for people to see it happening
прикольно, будет время сделаю на свой велик
Looks the same with naked eye and a mobile camera .
Você colocou em velocidade errada.
Zoetrope 4D
Close one eye
Almost
Estus bela havi la animadon de hamstro! :-D
"This doesn't work if you look at it with the naked eye". No kidding. DUH!]
THEN WHY DID YOU DO IT?
That's useless.
You're useless.
