  • I am going to test the Atomstack MR20, a 20W fiber laser module upgrade for Atomstack diode laser engravers. With this fiber laser source you will be able to engrave all types of metals and some plastics too. It is a powerful true fiber laser source producing 1064nm infrared light which can also be used for laser cutting metal! I have mounted it on the Atomstack X30 (A30) Pro, but it fits older modules like Atomstack A10, A20 or X20 too. In this video I did some practical tests to see what it can do.

How does this compare to the 2w ir module. I'm interested in larger format marking so maybe I'll get a large 600x600 36w sculp with an ir module.

It's better to buy a separate Galvo laser at that price, besides you can always increase its size by upgrading the lens to 300mm x 300mm. The gantry tradeoff is not worth it, it's defeats the purpose of having a fiber laser.
