This song has played at every wedding reception I've ever been to. And if not many people were dancing ,EVERYBODY gets up and dances to this. Great song, great version and great reaction (as always).
The Righteous Brothers had a big hit with "Unchained Melody" in 1965. Home Free did such a beautiful rendition of this classic song. They added an old school doo-wop feel to it. The video in prison is very fitting as this song was originally written for the 1955 prison film "Unchained". The film centered on a man who contemplates either escaping from prison to live life on the run or finishing his sentence and returning to his wife & family.
This is so good. It was written for a movie Unchained about prison in 1955. Home Free likes to go back to the roots of the song. And yes, it’s doo wop. Loved Tim starting low and ending up with the high notes of Austin. Good one Britt. They have so many originals out lately. You might enjoy Playing with Fire. 🥰😍
The reason they are in cells is because Unchained Melody is from the prison movie Unchained. And, yes, the style is Do Wop as is their rendition of Blue Ain't Your Color, which also features their fine dance moves.
It's such a treat to watch your growth in really listening to everything in a song (how the voice choice was done and background vocals, or BV's, as to how they enhance the songs). Proud of you! Your doing a great job!
Hopefully their cover of “Blue Ain’t Your Color” makes you smile too. It’s a more traditional presentation of doo wop. Or, if you are ok with sad, “I Can’t Outrun You” has some beautiful harmonies.
This song was written specifically for the 1955 movie, 'Unchained". It is about a man split between honorably doing his time in prison or escaping to be with his woman.
The was done years ago in the 30s for a movie about a man in jail. Righious Brothers got it and turned it into a mega hit, Home are doing a great job with it. Austin Brown was the one doing some of the solos He has the long redish hair.
Right now in a parallell universe there are moist labias flapping like crazy! Home Free hits the spot and the notes like no others. This is silly good!
Home Free and their harmonies!! Such powerful visuals and a remarkable version of the song ❤️ I know it hearkens back to the mid-century movie and they portray it spectacularly, but I do hate seeing our guys behind bars. 😕 However, they can definitely "emote" through their music/videos better than just about anyone else out there!! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
So many covers of this song are based on the standard set by the Righteous Brothers, so if you ever listen to Vito and The Salutations' 1963 version, it's like nails on a chalkboard because it's just not the song we expect.
Tim (bass) has a solo album out called Pieces of Me in which he sings all of the parts and it's a doo oop album which is his favorite music from the 50s and 60s. Check out his youtube videos from the album..
I had to go look that song up on TH-cam and listen to it so that I could hear the vocal range of the singers. Compared to the original it is extremely close to how the Righteous Brothers did it. Like how they used to sing it before the one of them broke his voice and had to have surgery, From then on the song Never sound the same. 🤗
I LIKE THE HONOR THAT THEY GAVE BOBBY HATFIELD BY NOT GOING FOR HIS CLOSING NOTE ,THAT SHOWS REAL CLASS. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS ,VISUALLY IMPAIRED. THAT COLOR TOP LOOKS AMAZING ON YOU BRITT .
Bass. Tim sings BASS, not baritone. I'm sure he can sing baritone, but he's so much more than that!! You really need to go to his page!! Girl!!!!!! You're missing out!! ❤😍😍😍 "Will you still love me/stay " watch that one!!!! You're welcome!!
Absolutely owe yourself to listen to Skull and Bones, written by Chance commissioned by Ubisoft for their new game. Don't even bother to wear socks, they will blow them off! Notes you've never heard, guaranteed!!
They simply had way too much fun producing this song and video presentation. Their entertainment value is top dollar with everything they do. Their customer base receives the best from them every time. Very creative juices and exceptional produced music that keeps our hearts thumping along with smiles and feel good feelings.... Home Free's interpretation for their videos for the vast array of genre they perform is sensational and very entertaining. They have videos that are serious and sincere to funny and hilarious and often catch us the audience discerning that a great amount of thought went into producing to enhance the message in the delivery. They bring an emotional aspect that is fresh and thought provoking each time. They are very intentional and deliver with excellence. They simply don't put out junk, they bring it with a very high end and are very deliberate with their message of their productions. 👠🚨🚔👮❤🩹🎬🎥
Home Free did a role swapped version of 'Traveling Soldier' that I think you would really adore. Please also react to 'Wayfaring Stranger - Epic Version' by Simon Khorolskiy Feat. Chris Rupp. (Chris Rupp is Home Free's beatboxer's brother and a former member of Home Free. He left amicably to try for a solo career)
You really should check out put Tim Foust with his solo doo wop work. Talk range? Check out Stay/will you love me mash up song. He voices all parts. Basement to stratosphere.
Just so you are aware, Tim, the soloist, is a bass not a baritone. As a bass singer myself, people always seem to call a man with a low voice a baritone. I love your reactions.😊
Tim often says "Home Free doesn't give you what you want. We give you what you need". He's not wrong. 🤣🍟 Thanks Britt.
Awesome react girl.. love it.. love you.. keep it up.. 🫰😉
The song was written for the prison movie "Unchained" in 1955. HF took it back to it's origin.
Love your reactions. You are a Home Fry for sure. 😎
They never fail to impress. At this point they can take on ANY song and make it their own unforgettable performance.

Tim (the bass) has a rare 5-octave range and can sing from below low to a tenor's range.
Think I have heard him hit near soprano at times 😉
Britt your Home Free ready for MAYDAY!!!

Austin also has a great solo version of this on his channel. And I think you will like one of their newest originals - Playing With Fire. Smokin'.
Home Free ... if you know , you know !
Listen to Tim’s solo music, you will be amazed at his range

None of this is possible without incredible song writing.
Don't forget incredible arrangements!
Those boys are incredible! Fabulous artists, who I feel don't get deserved respect.

Would love for you to hear Austin Brown’s rendition of Unchained Melody. His guitar player is ahhhhmazing!
Hopefully their cover of “Blue Ain’t Your Color” makes you smile too. It’s a more traditional presentation of doo wop.

Glad to see you checking out home free!

Home Free and their harmonies!! Such powerful visuals and a remarkable version of the song ❤️

Tim can go subharmonic and hold it. Tim is technically a bass but with a 5 octave range.
Brit, unchained melody is from a 50’s movie about a man in prison who will be released…
I LIKE THE HONOR THAT THEY GAVE BOBBY HATFIELD BY NOT GOING FOR HIS CLOSING NOTE ,THAT SHOWS REAL CLASS. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS ,VISUALLY IMPAIRED. THAT COLOR TOP LOOKS AMAZING ON YOU BRITT .
Would love to hear Home Free performance of Go Rest High on that mountain.
Austin has done a solo version of this, check it out !

Great cover
Gorgeous ,!, Have you done their When AMan Loves A Woman!! Holy Moly!!! 😂❤
blammmmmm !!! ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️🙃
Austin did a solo version of this song with Steven Martinez on guitar a year before this one. And of course he sounded terrific.
Bass. Tim sings BASS, not baritone. I'm sure he can sing baritone, but he's so much more than that!! You really need to go to his page!! Girl!!!!!! You're missing out!! ❤😍😍😍 "Will you still love me/stay " watch that one!!!! You're welcome!!
They all try out for each song, and vote who does it. Have you heard them do Nessun Dorma?
Absolutely owe yourself to listen to Skull and Bones, written by Chance commissioned by Ubisoft for their new game. Don't even bother to wear socks, they will blow them off! Notes you've never heard, guaranteed!!
These guys are freaking limitless
The do wop in the background is reminiscent of "In The Still of The Night"
I think if I were a woman I would definitely be in the PDC for sure! Great reaction!
one more thing... breath girl..🤙🤪👍🫰
Austin from Home Free does an amazing version of this himself you should check out youd be so surprised!

Tim Foust is the Bass singer but he has a 5 octave range, check out his solo videos
You haven't reacted to Mayday yet? Gasp! You definitely need to hear that HF gem!
Home Free did a role swapped version of 'Traveling Soldier' that I think you would really adore. Please also react to 'Wayfaring Stranger - Epic Version' by Simon Khorolskiy Feat. They are paying homage to the songs origin, it first appeared in a prison film.
If you like this one, go catch Austin going solo (well, guitar accompanying) on his channel.
Just a suggestion, but, I think you should check out all their individual TH-cams. Austin does this song and it is equally as amazing!
II WOULD LIKE TO HEAR "CHRIS STAPLETON" COVER THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just so you are aware, Tim, the soloist, is a bass not a baritone. As a bass singer myself, people always seem to call a man with a low voice a baritone. I love your reactions.😊
You are so beautiful!!!
Married or not, mother or not, you are so cute and fun to watch react. 🌹
The baritone is doing the bass. The bass is singing lead.!
Tim is not a baritone, he is a true bass! =)
Check out them doing opera
Since you already reacted to Heads Carolina Tails California, I gotta see your reaction to She Had Me At Heads Carolina by Cole Swindel.
you need to do their cover of mayday
Request: Home Free, How Great Thou Art please 😊
Request Brothers In Arms by Home Free
PDC Panty Dropping Club. No doubt!!!!
Tin the Bass has a 5 octave range....
❤does PDC stand for Pretty Dang Cute?
If you like this GO SEE THEM LIVE. Trust me. They are even better.
“The choices they make about who sings what part are instrumental.”
I see what you did there. A cappella is non-instrumental.
