One of my earliest and happiest memories as a Spurs fan was finding a lifesize Defoe poster inside a local magazine in Malaysia right after he scored those 5 goals against Wigan. Everyone said Keane and berbatov were better players and I agree, but for me, nothing will beat Defoe and his snapshots which required zero backlift. Thanks for the memories Jermaine and happy retirement.

I almost became a fan of Spurs because of Harry Redknapp and J.Defoe.
He had the best shooting technique of any English striker. The goal he scored for England against Italy in 2012 was better than any of these. He should have won a lot more international caps.
