This will be my second Heisei figure from Monsterarts (theoretically the third if you count Gamera 1999). It looks great. I hope they will also make a new version of Godzilla 1994. But for now Godzilla 1991 will play his role, on the shelf with Spacegodzilla and moguera (when it comes out)
Honestly, though I don't love some of the QC issues and lack of key accessories, this is an idea I can get behind. Despite how lazy SH MonsterArts has been with their releases (Did you SEE their GxK Godzilla and Kong figures?) Releasing a figure this old with this much effort gone into the paint and details, plus new actually interesting accessories is definitely a step in the right direction.
@@dubuyajay9964From what I've seen Hiya definitely seem to be on the right track. For some, mainly their KOTM(?) Godzilla, the sculpt was fantastic, but the articulation and paint job left a bit to be desired. Their Ghidorah, on the other hand, seemed to be fantastic all around. So maybe they'll improve to be way better than SH. We'll see.

Im honestly waiting for the day when diego doom gets a figure he dislikes so much that the video intro becomes “ABSOLUTELY NOT FANTASTIC!” But this man has done so many amazing reviews on figures i now own cause of him
If they make a new Destroyah he's probably gonna come with a variable slicer effect along with a more reddish paint job. I'm not willing to sell my kidney just yet to get the SCV.
Decisive battle hopefully. A swappable katana horn for Destroyah would be cool as well as a Oxygen Destroyer breath peice would be great too since none of the releases had it. Or maybe add the Super X III to it. Which Kiryu are we taking about? 2002 or 2003?

The ball joint for the head of my OG Spacegodzilla was really loose, causing the head to pop off alot. If this version doesn't have that as a common issue, and if the tail joint problem isn't common either, I might give this version a buy.

Not too sure about this one. Spacegodzilla was always one of the best Monsterarts releases, but it did have the typical loose joints in the wrist and tail But why in the hell did Monsterarts never make his flight form as a figure??? Update: Ok this figure absolutely should've come with the beam, as the spines have that same glow they did when he used that beam

People bought an articulated frozen shin which shouldn't even be articulated as he never moved once he became an statue. By that same logic, tamashii shouldn't had given every gamera figure (including iris) a flight form since we see gamera (and iris) on the ground more often than them flying.
Another epic review DiegoDoom! I noticed that you always open the box from the bottom instead of the top in your reviews and I was wondering if there were any specific reason for that? Or is it purely preference? I personally always open mine from the top

Shame they don't give the Corona beam effect. Honestly it's something I've noticed with most of the newer Godzilla's from this line is that they are not bothering with the breath etfects. Something that I think hurts this line.

@@Matthews_CornerYT That doesn't make things better, this is one of the few times tamashii SHOULDN'T had been screen accurate and made the figure more articulated and dynamic than what the suit was. Even the other heisei godzilla figures like 89, 91, 94 and burning were more dynamic in their articulation compared to how the suits were. Doesn't make it better this is a old mold which wasn't updated to have more updated articulation.

I think the recent Hiya releases have been a shot across the bow for the former SH Monopoly.

6:22 i wanted are you talking about clear nail polish? What does that do?
Adding a coat of nail polish to the joint and socket will give it enough friction to stay in place.

What glue did he use to glue the dorsal spine back to the figure?
I used Loctite brand super glue. The bottle has a nice narrow applicator, so it’s easy to be precise with your drops.

I think articulation is a little underwhelming
It's about as posable as the actual onscreen suit. It was VERY restrictive, hence their reliance on beams and projectile fighting in the movie.
