Yes,DST is non hygroscopic but we store in dry conditions. Sometimes if we put outside it react with atmosperic air.

This is a standard weight, you can define this in your SOP .

Weight of DST = FCV/KF,
Where,
F is the water equivalency factor of the Reagent in mg per mL(=5),
C is the used volume of the capacity of the burette in percent(should be 30-100 % in case of manual titration and 10-100% in case of automatic titration),
V is the buret volume, in mL(5 or 10)
and
KF is limit or expectex water content in the sample/DST in percent(=15.664%)
Now assuming that :
F = 5 mg/mL
C = 90%,
V = 5 mL and
KF = 15.664%;
Weight of DST required = 144 mg(=appx 150 mg)
Depending on the variables , Weight range should be given. In USP, it's 20 to 125mg.
However Weight range of DST can be given in SOP as per requirement .
