This takes me back to my childhood when riding bareback with just a head collar in the small town I lived in back then on a retired race horse mare who couldn't carry a foal to term. She was my best friend and we trusted each other 100%. You inspire me to follow my heart and rehabilitate the most broken horses I can. I'm so glad I found you. You are a wonderful teacher and a great horse person 💖

Your mare looks very much like my 'favorite forever' horse who lived with us and took me all
over the mountains (always bareback) for 15 years ....... he was already mature when he was
given to me by a very good friend, actually a boss... (rode for him at his stable) ! I miss him
so much ! He lived a wonderful life, and had little complaints, and was a fantastic mount!
He's been gone for 20 years now and... not replaceable, ever. I'll miss him the rest of my life.

Beautiful horse. Beautiful rider! Love watching you girl so thanks for that. I’ve ridden bridleless and used various ropes like this but I haven’t used the actual item here. Thanks so much for the demonstration! I love how you explain how horses work with pressure of all kinds especially light pressure. Mine will push punch. If I push, he punches back. So I have to keep it super light with him only increasing pressure where he absolutely needs it. And he gives me his all when I properly connect with him. I can’t wait to learn more about this to see if I can try it out w him. Thanks for the video. 😁

People who are saying they wish they could try this please believe me you can. It's about trusting your horse and trusting your ability not to over react. In a paddock or a yard you can get on your horse with no gear at all and just be one with your horse. Do what they want to do, you go for the ride and not take them for a ride. When I was young I would go out to the field my horse was grazing in, get on his back, faceing backward head on his rump and he would wander the field grazing as I day dreamed just being one with my horse. Horses appreciate your time and affection especially when you just want to be on them but ask for nothing but respect and trust.

I do something similar with a regular lead rope. Have a new horse from Iceland arrive last week for which I will trying this method once she has settled into her new home. So far only rode her with a halter and she is a bit spooky. I love the feeling of bare back. I have not cantered using a cordeo yet, don't quite feel secure enough.

Nice demo. One concern though. When you demonstrated moving the cordeo higher on the throat to stop, it seemed too high, where there could be possible damage to the throat area not protected by muscle. Just wanted to point that out, that perhaps beginning users, especially, should never place the cordeo that high but maybe rather only halfway up the neck. Thank you again for your video!

The imagery in this video is compelling. This video shows an interesting contrast between this beautiful white blonde woman and this black/dark brown Freisan horse- but they look like they belong together. Also, her hair and the horse's hair is almost the same- both wild, untamed, long and gorgeous. Maybe it is a visual representation showing that in many ways they are the same or perhaps the horse represents a part of this woman's character/personality?
Wonderful control and riding. Informative too.

The next morning I woke up with 14 stitches in my head and my mother on a cot in my bedroom. I’m lucky I didn’t break my neck. PLZ INCLUDE A DISCLAIMER that this technique should NOT BE TRIED OUTSIDE OF AN ARENA!

Nice, but doesn't riding without at least a pad cause discomfort to the horse's back? There are two bones that stick straight down from our pelvic bones, our sitting bones, and they are pounding into each side of the horse's spine where the nerves come out. We shouldn't ride without some sort of protection from this.
