Seeing Mary Kate and Ashley’s bags made something click in my head like … why am I baby’ing these things?!! Life is too short! I’m going to use them until they fall apart. I don’t care anymore. I’m done buying bags too . I have enough .
I bought a new LV 2 months ago, and I found that the quality was no longer as good as before. On the contrary, the DIOR my friend bought for me on *hotdups* three years ago is still in good condition.
I gave my mother a bag on the festival day. She liked it very much. It is easy to carry and not easily scratched. My mother often carries it when going out on rainy days, but it still looks new. I will consider buying another one next time I have the chance.
This video really hit home for me. When I was carrying my Coach bag, I used to chuck it in the backseat of my car and drag it around with me everywhere. I never gave it a second thought. I have purchased exactly three luxury designer handbags, all costing around the $5000 mark (Canadian dollars). I am terrified every time I use one of them. It’s a horrible feeling and as a result, I can’t enjoy them. I’m trying to change my way of thinking and videos like this one, really do help me put things in perspective, so thank you for that 🩵
I don't mean to sound rude with this but luxury items are meant for rich people. They can afford these items easier and they aren't a burden to them. It's nice to have a couple of pieces but you should try and get the money first before you try and have the lifestyle.
I agree. They're rich people items for rich people. If you're more working-class, then of course it's going to look ridiculous to the other working-class people surrounding you. It just doesn't fit your actual lifestyle. I've had to remind myself this a lot. I also tell myself that it's silly to carry a bag worth more than the money I'm carrying in that bag, or especially the amount of money that I have in my bank account. That's why I really like the mid-range and contemporary brand bags. They're a lot more reasonable for my economic status, and don't make me feel like I'm chasing a life I don't actually live.
That's why I only ever buy premium brands and never luxury. You can get quality without insane prices. Yeah, I don't see the appeal of luxury brands if you're not already well-off.
News that people don't wanna hear. If you have to scrimp every last penny and sell your neighbour's cat to afford a non-essential item, you probably can't afford it.
*hotdups* The canvas tote actually reminds me of the Hermes Garden Party too. Thanks for making this video to suggest more budget friendly alternatives. love it!
If I buy a bag is because at the time of purchase, I fell in love with it, and it makes my heart sing whenever I think about it or see it on my shelf. If for some reason I have to sell it, I see it as 'it no longer fits into my current lifestyle and I'm finding a new home for it'. I don't care who buys it, I take with me the memories I made with it. 😊
🐣You just expressed exactly how feel about owning luxury items. I feel stressed and nervous about using very expensive products. My inability to relax in these situations prevents me from fully enjoying myself. Do you feel sad or frustrated to save your special things you bought for special occasions that never come? I do.
Great finds I really enjoy watching your videos because you always thinking of the girlies that can’t afford designer and I am one of the girls and I love it I will be making a couple of purchases
I personally have never babied my bags. I use them as much I want. I even used my chanel with my son when he was an infant and a toddler. If I buy them, I enjoy them! I don’t wait for a special occasion.
Totally agree I would be too scared to use a designer bag! So stressful! I like these bag as much as anyone, but every time I look at how much they cost and what I can spend that money on instead, I just can't do it with my heard-earned cash. Maybe I can get a secondhand one eventually.
I agree, I got sick of buying super expensive bags and shoes at some points , I have more important things in life to spend money on , like my son’s education , a new house ,
Let me tell you about 2 of my friends and their handbags.. one friend has a 3k bag but before payday is always out of money and will beg and borrow money from friends.. but another friend has an 18ringgit handbag but has 2k ++ cash in her handbag.. 😊
I don’t have the life style for designer bags. I have purchased previously owned purses. I’ll stick with any brand that is full grain leather. Coach, Brighton, Fossil and the like.
I went through the phase you were talking about, of buying and being too scared to use my bags. I wasn't thinking about the resale price if I scratched them, but more that I hate to see those scratches on my bag. I sold almost immediately my YSL sac de jour in smooth leather, as soon as I saw the first scratch. I know it sounds idiotic! Hahahahahaha! Since then I have only been buying bags in hard wearing leathers like grained leather or canvas. I have a mixed handbag collection, from LV to mid range brands like Aspinal of London. I am plannin on adding more mid range bags from other brands and few others from luxury brands, but they are all going to be used and loved. I am glad I moved away from the fear of wearing my bags, and now it is just fun to open my wardrobe and choosing the best bag for my outfit, such a liberation! 🐣
I didn't delete any comments under this video, and I don't remember seeing yours. Maybe something was wrong with YT, idk:( Would you care to share it again?
I finally stopped buying luxury bags a few years ago when I saw how anxious I became carrying a distinctive pricey LV in a busy urban thorofare. People hustling about with drinks and lit cigarettes . . . I realized my hobby had become an addiction and a source of stress I didn't need. I finally found purse peace with a popular line of vegan accessories that feel as good to me as lambskin. 👛
Aw thanks for the mention!!!! I’m super enjoying your channel!!!!! ❤
You just made my day, thank you so much!! 🥹❤️

go girl!!

This handbag is very exquisite, but I think it is ridiculus for me to pay more than $3000 to get it. This bag
I useeeeeee my luxury bags, even my chanel bag! I respect my items, no matter what it costs, but my bags serve me, not the other way around

I'm so happy to hear that it was helpful! Thanks for sharing your experience!! ❤️
I agree! I enjoy my preloved bags, as I don’t have to worry about that first scratch or mark on it.
I have a Louis Vuitton Métis clutch. I like it. I'm glad I bought it. I recently wanted a Chanel flap bag, so I cracked open *hotdups* again
If I buy a luxury bag I am wearing it until it ready for the garbage no matter how much I pay
1000000%
I agree , finally I ‘m going to die , the bag can not be more important than mo
I bought a vintage Gucci bag for $100. I cleaned it, painted it, and it looks like new. I saved $1,000 lol and I don’t mind using it

and then priscilla zuckerberg is just carrying a north face bag😂
conversation starter that draws compliments wherever I go.

that's a pretty healthy point of view if you ask me!

🐣. Another great video. I like that you’re using your own voice now! It sounds better to me.
So glad to hear that, thank you! 🐣
It has always been rude to ask someone what they paid for something or if it’s real.
There are a few bags I would buy. I don’t know color or style yet Lowes Puzzle bag Medium or Small- it’s versatile and goes with my casual clothes.
Why I prefer under the radar brands.....
I really like when my personal items look well-used 🐣 Then they feel like they really belong to me
I agree, I got sick of buying super expensive bags and shoes at some points , I have more important things in life to spend money on , like my son’s education , a new house ,
Just selling my Kelly which I never used anyway. Looking forward to putting the money into stocks and travels 😅🎉

This Birkin design is so ugly. Reminds me of posh grandmas😂.
If a bag is making you feel ashamed, worried or obsessive, there's something wrong with you and not the bag.
I don’t have the life style for designer bags.
I have purchased previously owned purses. I’ll stick with any brand that is full grain leather. Coach, Brighton, Fossil and the like.
Bought a LV. Worst mistake. Wore it twice. Felt like a clown. 😂
thank you
I have a 20 year old Dooney I have no qualms using and it carries my items as well as an overpriced bag.

Getting rid of that fear must be such a relief, so happy for you!! 🐣
This video is the definition of first world problems.
