- A random day was chosen to film what was going on in the field. This particular day, October 17 2012, was a day of excavating in a cellar near the church tower. Follow the archaeologists as they excavate, screen, and map.
I remember seeing one of your archaeological sites back in 2001 when I was 8 years old. Now as a student studying archaeology, I appreciate the hard work and effort put into the Jamestown site and visitor museum. Great video!

The best part of surveying with the Recon (pocket pc) was the bubble pop game. It also had solitaire. We usually call the “electronic transit” a total station or just “the gun”. Thanks for this video.

Anthropology (study of people, cultures, etc.) Archaeology is a subdiscipline of anthropology, History and Geology are are also good fields for perspective archaeologists. Anything having to do with material culture or the study of the objects we give meaning to in our lives can be extremely useful for a potential archaeologist. Good luck
