- I love Spyro The Dragon. The first three games, the original trilogy of Spyro The Dragon games mean the world to me. I always talk about Spyro and even spent a whole year on TH-cam hyping up the Spyro Reignited Trilogy remakes where I went on an amazing journey in my life that year because of it. Today, let's talk about my favorite games of all time!

Spyro 2 ripto's rage aka gate way to glimmer was great as well. And had a really good storyline.
The gameplay in spyro 3 year of the dragon is splendid too.

Crystal Island in Spyro 3 has an Easter egg I always appreciated. If you say 'no' to Moneybags when he asks you to pay to get across the bridge, he'll threaten to turn you into a blue hedgehog.
When I clicked on this I was not prepared for an hour of Spyro but I’m glad I clicked. Spyro is still my favorite game of all time.

Spyro 3 has the most special place in my heart. That game has so many good memories connected to it and every time I think of it, nostalgia hits me. My favorite game ever❤

Original Spyro game is the 2nd game I ever played, I think I was 4 or 5 when I played it. I remember unlocking that secret world that you unlock by jumping on those platforms in world 1, than they started to glow and the door opened. I was so excite, it blew my mind. Even now, 24 years later I still remember that hidden world!! I actually beat spyro this year for the 1st time, so much nostalgia!

On a binge of Spyro video essays and I didn't realise so many people hated the flying levels. They're my favourite, especially the ones in the third game!
Some tips from my many hours trying to get the best time in these levels: the lower you fly, the faster your flight speed. You can skim through the very bottom of the green rings for more speed as well as getting all the speedboosts. Secondly, any charging you do in speedways will be faster than flying. Staying low and taking advantage of any land to get brief boosts of speed from charging and jumping, and knowing when to do this and when to rise up to take out obstacles was always a really fun challenge for me.
This game holds a soft spot in my heart. I never owned it, but my cousin Amanda did. We used to play together as kids. Always felt like the cool big cousin when shed ask me to beat levels/bosses. I say big cousin even though I was only 9 months older 🤣
Great video! You making videos leading up to the reignited trilogy was the reason I made a TH-cam account, to comment/interact with your videos. You are still to this day for me the most relatable TH-camr. And there were so many relatable moments in this video. And moments I lol’ed

Year of the Dragon was one of the first games I ever played, It will always be my favorite. It might just be that they were some of my earliest gaming memories, but the memorable level designs and the cast of characters always resonated with me in a way that is hard to describe.
My young brother and my younger sister both played Spyro the Dragon (1998) and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon (2000) on the original PlayStation console system during my childhood years. But we didn't have and played Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage (1999) before until we played the remastered version of Spyro on the PlayStation 4 console system and Nintendo Switch handheld system.
Thank you for sharing your love for the original trilogy. I remember getting the first one( which is my favorite one) for Christmas of 98. I also have the same ringtone for my phone, but as you I always go back and play all 3 games any chance I get every year. These games alone and Crash made me love video games.

It makes me so happy seeing someone love spyro as much as I do. It's so satisfying going through all of the levels, especially since there is so much content and the reignited trilogy has such a nice asthetic, not only is it fun and difficult in a good way, it's an amazing looking game. I'm currently playing through the reignited trilogy for the 2nd time and I'm gonna continue playing it over and over again
Loved this video!! I love hearing your perspective of the Spyro franchise. My fave game growing up was Spyro 3. It’s such a comfort game for me.
This was absolutely spot on. I've never felt so seen as when in the intro you talked about playing through these games so often that you didn't need the latest and greatest games as they were coming out. I always had my PS1 with LCD screen and played wherever I went, even in the car. Also, the turtle soup in Ripto's Rage and Sheila's challenge in Spooky Swamp are my least favorite in each of those games lol

10:15-10:30 Protip: Instead of wasting time trying to turn around and run away from them, flame and immediately charge forward. The dog will harmlessly lunge over your head. It needs to return to its resting position before it can attack you again, giving you plenty of time to turn around and flame it a second time.
This takes me back to when I first started watching your content, Jordan, shortly before the announcement of the Reignited Trilogy. The Reignited Trilogy might be the only Xbox One game I fully completed. I kept getting the "rare" achievement pop-ups, and man, that dopamine rush was like crack... not that I know what crack is like. #SpyroIsMyBro

I love Spyro so much! We had the first one before we even got memory cards. So I played the first and second world so much that I remembered everything by heart. I recently started playing the reignited trilogy and have been having a blast. I even shocked myself that remembered the pattern to unlock the flying challenge.

Hell yeah a new gaming video and it’s an hour long this is a great early Christmas present! I used to play the shit out of the spyro games I’ve 100% the first 3 but after that I’ve only played a little bit of the others it is definitely a great series and it’s only a matter of time before we get a new spyro game like crash got

Glad to know I'm not the only one who would have multiple annual Spyro trilogy playthroughs. At least once at the beginning of summer vacation from school, and once during christmas break. That part and the weird confluence of time led to the Hanson christmas album being a part of the tradition lol
Great video! I love the Spyro Trilogy but I would say Spyro 2 is my favourite. It’s the best balance between Spyro gameplay and mini games. I also love the intro and outro cutscenes since they add a level of charm and makes the realms feel real.
Ripto's Rage was my first game of the series, so it has a special place in my heart. I love how many of the levels come in thematic pairs.

Loved it mate, I was such a die hard spyro fan and before I went into Minimalism, I had all the merch I could get my mits on. For me spyro gateway to glimmer was the first video game I ever played so it holds a very special place in my heart, we were gifted a ps1 by my eldest sisters partner at the time and it was lacking a memory card so we could only play as far as we could until my mum went and got is a memory card to continue our play through. After the original trilogy I was dissapointed with what spyro had become despite seeing some of the games as okay, nothing would beat the original trilogy for me. I still have a photo of me on one of my birthdays getting spyro year of the dragon when it came out! Around 8 years ago I got a tattoo of spyros skull, a dragon egg and a gemstone. This was to symbolise spyros death when other companies got their mits on him, but also to honour what he meant to me growing up. When they announced the reignited trilogy I was honestly so so stoked! I regularly do playthroughs of all three games myself, and personally prefer the original ps1 graphics. While my friends were off playing ocarina of time and nintendo, I was making memories on the ps1. Thank you for this video 🙏

Spyro defined my brother and I's childhood. The first game was always a gem to go back to even if it had concepts that never stuck because honestly it makes it unique out if the three and very very memorable even though 2 and 3 are objectively better. 2 was my brother's favorite and if the reignited version of 3 didn't exist, I'd have to agree. It is such a cohesive experience, it has lovable worlds and concepts we fell in love with as kids. And the MUSIC SLAPS HARD. Then Spyro 3 I always saw it as the Crusin Exotica of the Spyro trilogy... aka really really weird. And I love it! It feels like a great conclusion to the original trilogy and honestly I wouldn't have it any other way. It's so fun to play! And the segmentation of the levels gives some more lore to the levels, since now there are pockets of world building for other places in the world.

Spyro was absolutely my gateway game as a kid making me into the gamer/playstation fan I am today and you can bet I'm definitely gonna be introducing my kids to the reignited trilogy one day

Your passion for these games comes across brilliantly in this video - and I completely agree with everything you have said ✨ I think for me when I was a kid, I equally loved the first 2 - and whilst I still played 3, it was always my least favourite of the games. I remember playing the first Spyro game that came out on PS2 (I think it was Enter The Dragonfly) and I just could not get on with it.
Spyro 2 is one of my favorite games ever. It's just such a comfy game to play from time to time. I don't even need to beat it, just...Play it.

Best game in the series is Year of the Dragon. Grew up on that, and I was *so* giddy to be re-complete it in the Reignited Trilogy.

I used to order pizza specifically for the free PlayStation Demo Disks. I was introduced to Spyro this way, and I immediately fell in love. Those first 3 games are absolute gems.

But ever since playing reignited I love it even more. Reliving memories from the past & being genuinely impressed & wow’d, money well spent. I also like the music & have a playlist on YT. I hope we see Spyro 4 & a good Spyro 4

spyro was one of those games that because of my age, i was only allowed to WATCH my brother play it. because having an older brother means you CANNOT!!! touch their game or save file!!! you can only watch!! lmao, so i do love spyro just from a watching perspective. maybe one day i’ll play it
Ngl solid approach from the older brother. My little sister deleted my 97% save file on Spyro 3 that my dad and I worked so hard on when she was like 4. I still haven’t forgiven her for that 😂😅

i have such fond memories of Spyro, being one of the first games i have recollection of from childhood.
one of my favorite memories though, is having the demo for the game on a demo disc from the Playstation Underground Magazine that my dad subscribed to. this was one of those demos that was "timed," which means that after a certain period of time (say, 30 minutes, idk i don't think they explicitly told you), the demo would end and you'd lose whatever progress you made. i distinctly remember playing it one time and suddenly needing to use the bathroom. i hurriedly ran to the toilet, did my business as quickly as i could, then ran back and slid on the carpet like i was trying to make it to home plate, to the controller... and, as soon as i picked it up... the demo time ended 😂
The most bawler part of these games was hitting L1+R2+(square) and getting the Crash Bandicoot demos and Yeti Boxing 2 player minigame
I started with Spyro 2 and I have to say it's my favorite. Going back to Spyro 1 the world just feels kind of empty like you're all alone.
I remember playing Spyro me and my brother played this game with uncle all the time. I always ran around collocted jems,fly, breathed fire i didn't do the story plot because i was little but i loved it. I got the Spyro trilogy for Christmas with my switch and I love it and i rescued the 10 dragon's i just need to update the game then I'll be back to playing Spyro more

Lost Fleet skill point took 4 days to complete, I hate it forever. Not to mention the agent 9 challenges that I sucked at cuz he’s so stiff to move. The tank missions, escort missions, the damn bad dragon egg from Fireworks Factory. Lots of things that took me WAY longer than it should’ve

Fun little fact about me: I was playing a Spyro Rypto’s Rage game as a little kid the when I accidentally discovered no-clipping/glitching to do cool shit in video games & find hidden assets
Some of the tasks/levels/worlds in Ryptos Rage were too hard for little kids and were frustrating but it made finally winning and getting those orbs so satisfying
I recalled the baby snow leopard level really easy because I was so endeared by it and liked playing it just because it was so innocent and cute
For some reason I had so much figuring out where to hide from agent zero as a kid. The last hiding place took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out as a kid

Spyro 1 is still favorite I remember an the levels, I love all the music and I love that it's just Spyro no side characters or gimmicks, I still love 2 and 3 but all these years later I still vividly remember the first and not so much the other two
