Watch Purshottam, a.k.a Porus, portray his perpetual appetite for his motherland while taking on the fearsome legend of the West, Alexander The Great. The entire journey of Alexander carving his way to India, acquiring Indian allies, and then losing them while Porus prepares his country for a do-or-die battle is followed by the ruthless Battle of Hydaspes in a northwestern state of the Indian subcontinent.
This intriguing tale sets back to 350 BC and narrates the stark irony of how Porus and Alexander were born on the same day but were fostered with contrasting mindsets. Diverse characters from Greece and Indian history are brought to life and eventually the story fuses into a trembling climax leading to superbly depicting the courageousness of Indian emperors.

देखें पुरुषोत्तम, उर्फ पोरस, पश्चिम की डरावनी किंवदंती अलेक्जेंडर द ग्रेट को लेते हुए अपनी मातृभूमि के लिए अपनी सतत भूख को चित्रित करते हैं। सिकंदर की पूरी यात्रा भारत के लिए अपना रास्ता बनाती है, भारतीय सहयोगियों को प्राप्त करती है, और फिर उन्हें खो देती है, जबकि पोरस अपने देश को करो या मरो की लड़ाई के लिए तैयार करता है, इसके बाद भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप के उत्तर-पश्चिमी राज्य में हाइडस्पेश की क्रूर लड़ाई होती है।

Not seen the entire series but seems to be historically not accurate according to modern historian Porus was a huge man and Alexander was tall by 300 BC Greek standard around 5 feet 7 inches .While Porus was around 7 fleet . However there was no hand to hand combat between two . Porus was quite older than Alexander probably in his late 40s. More importantly Alexander won battle of Hydaspes . However, many modern historian believe it was a stalemate with Macedonian king having advantage .

For your kind information it is controversial to assume that alexander won the battle in real history because the man who dreamt to conquer the whole world who lost thousands of his soldiers and faced such extreme and harsh conditions while proceeding to india won the battle and left the conquered kingdom and died afterwards.. isn't it suspicious?
