Brothers and sisters, please pray for Brazilian Catholics: Sobre Evangelical drug dealers, that controls now some favelas, are starting to ban the Church from the territory they control! "Complexo de Israel" 4 parishes are closed due to the commands of the Evangelical Druglord. There's a real danger of these sort of thing expands to other parishes in Brazil, as the pentecostals gain influence among these people. Pray for us!
David Torkington’s series of free talks shed a lot of light on my previous study of St Teresa of Avila and St John of the Cross. His talks came just at the perfect moment in my zeal to understand Contemplation. I highly recommend these talks. As an aside, 61 years ago, July 25, 1963, I received my First Holy Communion in the Traditional Rite ( which was the norm before Vatican ll) and I intend to have a burial Mass in that same rite, please God.🙏
Yes, indeed, now is the incredible time to be Catholics! It would be much better, the sooner one realizes this. Imagine what will happen after the Great Warning!
You are an optimist, which Christianity enables us to be! I am more of a pessimist, so it is a battle. If you encounter Christ, personally and really, it would show, and people will see and be drawn to encounter Christ themselves. I’ve never heard of Mother Veronica. I will have to listen to her sometime. David Torkington’s talks are so helpful!
@@thecatholicman Thank you … I do go to Mass, and I pray, It seems I learn about Him, but I can’t say I have actually encountered Him, personally. I continue though, because life is better when you do those things, even without an encounter.
I know people encounter Christ, it shows. However, sometimes it seems like imagination. He lived over 2,000 years ago. I know about Him by reading Scripture and going to Mass, but to know Him personally, that is only done through imagination. That is not an encounter.
Do what Christ asks you to do and you will encounter him. “What you did to the least of these you did to me” Matthew 25 40. You can touch, see, experience God is easily and so frequently it’s astonishing. God is so real, so present, so close. Go into the mystery!!!!!!
My encounters with him have been in my heart, literally - I have had no visions. First time was the most profound in 2015, when after the 40th day of my dad’s passing, and some heavy mourning the weeks before, I was sitting in my living room contemplating and out of nowhere, my heart felt like it turned into a waterfall and I started crying from joy after I felt him walk through the door. I was not yet a Christian but an atheist. After that I turned agnostic because I did not understand what just happened and it shook me. I only realised last year when I started RCIA. I have had other lovely experiences, alone at the Eucharist, but not of that intensity, I just start weeping and my heart feels like it glows. I pray that you and everyone who hungers for him encounter the living god during this life
When we fill the void with the external, we can't encounter Christ. Christ dwells from within, it's an interior encounter with Christ. He gives us a natural peace that's not manufactured from the external.
Praying for Anto's full recovery 🙏
Thanks. I really need him out of hospital
In my prayers Anto, get well soon. 🙏
Get well soon n P.G you get out soon... GOD BLESS SABEL ❤
Thank you Robert, you re challenging me to not be a lazy Catholic and consciously open myself to God....
Don’t ignore that God chooses who is born to what time, for His purpose.
