    I'm already seeing an increase in cardio and muscle. I love it. I've been on this for about a month now havent skated yet, but im sure there will be improvements

    Great job on the video. My 7, 5, and 3 year olds are power jumping all over the place.

    What parts of speed does this train? Acceleration? top speed? First step quickness?

    With the triple split squat, should we try to get as high in the air as possible, or stay as low as possible so the feet need to move faster?

      Get as high in the air as possible 👍

    sweet video! why not do a full squat for vertical jump please?

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Full squats are a great exercise! This is only one workout that would be a part of a much bigger overall program design.

    It would be nice if you start the videos showing each workout for two seconds so a viewer can see, pause, do the workout, unpause, and then see the next workout. Would help out a lot instead of having to forward and rewind a bunch.

    Hey there! Is it possible to make stretching video? Describe the importance of it after training. Im doing a hockey for a round a year now and I feel that my feet are becoming heavy and sour sometimes. After training with no stretching afterwards my legs feel terrible.

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there,
      We have plenty of videos out on stretching right now -- Ideally you would want to do your dynamic stretching pre-workout and your static stretching post-workout, here's a couple of examples:
      Dynamic work: th-cam.com/video/t1J8DzXArRw/w-d-xo.html
      Static: th-cam.com/video/NYY_5Qf55pA/w-d-xo.html
      Explanation for you: th-cam.com/video/XGFGu_7kzJU/w-d-xo.html&t=
      And if you really want to dig in on the science of this stuff, I have wrote two blogs on it, and one major Hockey Mobility Guide that is going to be released this week.

    How often should I do this

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No more than 3 times per week, with a day off in between.... but ideally you would be mixing in other speed workouts with this one.

    I did this work out and have DOMS so badly hahaha I can barely sit on the toilet without supporting myself. thanks for the workout. i finally purchased body weight program and going to start next week on Monday to go Monday-Friday. I have a question tho. What happens if I can't do a chin-up? What should I substitute it with? Also, i don't have a chin-up bar.

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      🙊haha yeah, DOMS will happen with these speed workouts if you haven't done any intense lower body training recently! For a substitution you can do DB rows if you have access to those, or if you want to keep it bodyweight - inverted rows using something sturdy like a table

    Nice videos you have guys. I'm watching your channel for half a year already or so and I had improved my hockey parameters adding your recommendations into my trainings. Thanks a lot for that! Appreciate what you do! I wonder if you are planning or already have some routines with bands? Bands are great tools for those who stuck at home and who doesn't have enough space to store all the equipment like dbs, bbs, dip handles, pull bars and so on. I know some exercises with bands that I can switch with the regular ones, but there're a lot of that I don't know what should I choose instead. It would be nice to have some routines like that from hockey perspective.

      Thanks for the idea! We'll add it to the to-do video production list 💪

    I would really like to buy the speed program that you guys offer, but I'm limited to working out at my house alone. I do have dumbbells, resistance bands and a pull up bar, but will that be close to enough or will I have to buy hundreds of dollars more worth if equipment?

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kevin, our speed program is great if you don't have too much equipment. You just need some open space, like a park or soccer field to run at.

    I’m 13 so I don’t have to change the sets and Reps at all or anything right?

    • @hockeytraining
      @hockeytraining  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope! For this particular workout, you are good to execute this plan exactly as written.
