- Camaraderie. Anyone who has shot a large bull elk in a nasty, out of the way location far from any road knows the value of a good buddy with a strong back and, more importantly, the willingness to share in the arduous task of breaking it down and helping carry it out of the backcountry.
This film is dedicated to every hunter who has ever stepped up and helped a friend out when the chips are down.
This week, Brad, his brother Kurtis Brooks and good friend Charlie Cronk embark on a hunt with as many challenges as highlights. Follow along as this seasoned trio head into the mountains in pursuit of wise old big bucks and tough backcountry bulls.
This is just the first of three memorable acts that are sure to inspire many more similar adventures in autumns to come.

20 years later, I have one hunting partner/best friend that I know will never tap out. Its a beautiful thing knowing you're in the backcountry with someone you can trust no matter what. Great hunt!

My buddies and I do much the same thing. In the back country we laugh together, cry together, and we are ok if we die together back there. There is just something about the back country that forges bonds.

I absolutely love watching y'all's videos, they seem to provide a distinct adventure tale that you don't get so much these days in other hunt media. More and more a lot of these videos feel like they're out there to do a thing and check a box. But in the Argali videos there is a very clear tale of struggle, perserverence and adventure. A truly realistic feel to the story that often gets lost anymore.

You know there’s plenty different types of hunting, but in my opinion there’s nothing in comparison to a rough, long trek into the backcountry. Places that very few hunters ever desire to go. The struggles and challenges are like none other. And I tip my hat to any men who decide to take on these kind of hunts. I’ve got my own archery mule deer hunt in the high country. 12 miles in backcountry. Well done gents, much respect.

Hunted in Idaho with lamas once. Went in 12 miles. Saw few elk lots and lots of wolves. Left after 4 days with no elk. But those were the best lamas we could have had. Not all trail and they were incredibly sure footed and gentle.

Mentally and physically comforting -lol. Using lamas -funny as hell-easy stuff. Try just solo elk hunting in backcountry without lamas.
We do both.
I don’t know how you guys have full packs when you have 5 llamas! That’s a lot of gear
we try not to load them down with too much gear.
Great hunt so far! Just curious why you didn't bag the quarters when you hung them in the tree? I'm assuming you will when you pack them out in part 2?
We hung them and put bags over them before we went down for the night. Not sure why we didn't get video of that!
