Great video, beautiful country , I was fortunate to go on a backcountry elk hunt in 22, pictures don’t do it justice of how beautiful the country is. Thanks for the video.
This is probably the most beautiful place on earth. I lived a half mile from the beach in la jolla for a few years , and I thought that was the most beautiful place, but this is just awe inpiring.
Thanks guys. This series is consistently the best I can find. I thought you topped out with the Frank Church film, but this is every bit as good. Thanks for over the top effort, but somehow not overdoing the “hunting” themes.
Another well displayed film by Argali. You guys did a great job of capturing such a beautiful place that is so dear to the western states. Awesome job Brad!
great video guys we love Yellowstone the last time we were there we got out and hiked so awesome to see a part of the park that a lot of people never get to see thanks for sharin
Great documentation of the adventure ....TRUE hunting team, indifference to who is the shooter..... 18:30 amazing bear footage and discussion...Was all the grizzly footage captured during the hunt?..... . What was it REALLY like hunting in grizzly Country??!..... And did that impact your approach?...... As always with your films; tremendous commentary, footage, history, education and awe inspiring story - well done!
Thabks for the kind words! Hard to explain what it's like exactly, but just need to be on your toes all the time. For us it was just about not being complacent, but it didnt change anything about where we went or how we hunted. The biggest thing for us was having bear spray on us at all times and being aware a bear could be anywhere. In fact, we found out later a hunter killed a grizzly close to where we were camped after we left.
I enjoy the way you guys hunt! The editing and providing us with the history of the areas is phenomenal. It's not always about the kill but the ability to experience these vast lands is something few people will ever see. Thanks for bringing us alongside you!!
Well done. Hunting in Yellowstone Country is special because of all the wildlife, elk, deer, grizzly bears, and wolves included, who thrive and belong here.
👍 Awesome footage. Really liked that shot through the aspens near the end. Bummer no meat was acquired but just being out in the wild makes up for that, (sometimes) Great film
Excellent video work and awesome views!! I like the idea of hunting and don’t have a set base camp travel as you please are what the animals determine, is this a multi year draw tag now 👍✌🏻🇺🇸
@@Argali I'm no biologist but I was just wondering, when things are left alone and all the apex predators are around like wolves, grizzlies, and of course cougars, if the "carrying capacity" (or whatever you want to call it) for elk is much lower then when those predators are "managed" down or missing from the area. We're just getting a lot of wolves in Oregon and I don't think we're ever going to manage them down. I'm wondering what the end-game is here in Oregon. It's still fun to be out there. I just want there to be game and to have a chance.
@@bent7406 it's a great question and we're in the same boat as you. We're not biologists either so tough for us to answer with anything other than our personal experience. We have hunted in a number of different states/places with wolves and bears (as well as cougars) and a lot of elk, but those are also places where predators are managed to some degree. That said, that's just been our experience and isn't gospel. It's a balancing act that needs to take into account the needs of human hunters too. Hopefully sanity rules the day with our neighbors to the west in Oregon.

What state was this? Also do you guys edit your own videos or do you 3rd party it out? If you do your own how did you learn? I just bought a new MacBook and Adobe premier pro and just now starting to teach myself I hope to produce something like this soon!
Hey David, we do everything in house. Our mastermind in the editing bay is Jason, and he has formal editing training as well as a lot of practice. You can absolutely learn to do a lot without any formal training though. Good luck with your edits!
Imagine walking in a trailhead, hearing voices, rounding the corner to see two adult males filming each other going "Uhhh I'm a Sagittarius and I like to mingle with elk". My dog has more testosterone in one leg than these two beginners combined, and she's a female.
@@alecingram4669 awful kind of you! If you go any direction in that country, quite literally, you'll be in incredible country. Can't go wrong. And thanks for the kind words!
Argali it looks spectacular. I’m rather frustrated because i live across the pond so can’t experience these amazing places but am praying one day i can move over and do this! Just incredible. And no worries also, had me hooked for the whole time and can’t wait to see the films in future!
Inspiring. Fairly new resident in Wyoming. Will hunt with a resident tag fall of '22. Have put in for any elk as first choice and cow as second choice in a unit 10 miles from the park boundary. At 58 years old, my days climbing slopes are getting fewer. This year will be the first season hunting Wyoming's vast lands. If I don't draw a tag, the general season tag will still be a welcomed gift. Enjoyed the stories you guys share. Keep 'em coming.
Living with elves in the pasture and meese's (plural forms when in your yard) licking apples and trot slapping at the dog four slow trees one fast Jack Russell. Henry's Fork, Teton, and Fall Rivers all within half a mile. Enjoymint without consumption not all yellow stone is gold (for the pocket).
A whole minute of staged boopler outtakes, and then a Grand Cardone commercial... face palm. I really do appreciate your videos and videography though. Top notch

Its an incredible place
Top notch. That part with the cows just feet from you was absolutely amazing. Makes waiting for next year that much harder.
Thanks Scott. Could have reached out and touched them they were so close.
Great movie! Picking up the forest sounds, makes the movie.
Thanks, todd!

Stunning country! Thanks for sharing your trip and experience!
Much appreciated
Incredible scenery
You guys show how the difficult, maybe even a little dangerous, journey is the part that most matters.
We definitely try, Chris. Thanks for watching.
Awesome adventure in the hills! Thanks for sharing👍
Thanks, Bruce!
Great film Brad! Enjoyed being able to relate to the story with close encounters and heartache of blown chances. Well done!
Thanks Ryan!

Totally awesome video!
Thank you, john!
Great job on this vid.

Thanks, Justin.
Nice film, hunting big public land country is tough. You would think there would be big bulls on every ridge, but not so.
For sure. Sometimes there are elk everywhere and sometimes not so much...the way it is on public land.
Very nice guys ... very impressed with that enjoyed it ... I’ll be sharing that one.
Thanks Shawn!

Thanks, Travis!
Great work guys, really enjoyed every minute.
Thanks, Huskey!
I wish I could follow you guys 100x
Thanks Chaise!
Great film!
Thanks, Matt!
Great footage
Awesome job!
Thanks, Josh
Damn cool video
That’s elk hunting. One of life’s greatest gifts, whether you get a shot or not. Doesn’t matter to me.
Great video! . . Did you feel there were low elk numbers?
Ben, there were elk around for sure, they were just holed up and pretty quiet most of the time.

Best camp and secure your game with a portable electric bear fence. At. 2.4 lbs, it’s small kit that brings huge peace of mind.
Maverick reed is my go-to.
Lol...it's Brad's favorite too.
12:53 listen carefully and you'll hear the raven from Mr. Burns' nuclear power plant!
How far back were you guys at the farthest point of the journey?
Around 9 or 10 miles
Where outside the national park was this located?
Alec, cant say exactly but we were a long ways from the park proper.👍

More bears than elk?
There were definitely more elk. But there were defintiely some bears around.
