Impressive is a significant understatement to realize the impact of being on the flight deck of a 787. To say I would be awed to even be in a 787 simulator would be a lifetime thrill for me. Ladies, you rock.
Great role models for many young girls, and women in general! And my daughter looks to making the skies safe for you as she looks forward to being air traffic controller. I will show her this, and I hope it inspires her to pursue/stay with what she feels passionate about(air traffic controller).
Wow...Paula it was great to see you back at HKNW being the examiner on the ME/IR. Glad you were my instructor for the intial part of the training one the C152. Great to see you on bigger and better. Well done.
Oh my gosh, it’s more than wonderful to see both of you ladies flying together again. You make my heart swell with joy and pride. Many, many more happy years together!!!!!!!!!!! 💎💪🏽👩🏾✈️🌠🎇🌅🛫✈️🛬
This is awesome. I hope other African countries can emulate this. Training their citizens to take on complex jobs like this. I see a tendency in most African countries to have foreign pilots doing even local flights. And she got all her training in Kenya. Impressive. Way to go girls!.👍👍
East Africa is a very different story. Ethiopia is doing wonders in the sector. The two countries are just outgoing and have the best education systems you can get in Africa.
Well done ladies. Much respect from Vanuatu. 🇻🇺🇰🇪 I'm glad to see Kenyans in control of their own airline unlike Air Vanuatu which is overrun by expats.
@@meginwood1568 Its quite strange how the outside world imagine Africans to be. I'm actually Kenyan and know our economy is run by the locals and piloting is not even the best profession in Kenya, we have female bankers, politicians, doctors, entrepreneurs(the most paying in Kenya), port workers, Kenya air force jet pilots.....etc, seeing a female pilot or a black engineer has never been strange in kenya because all kenyans are infact black and outgoing.
What an upgrade! From an Embraer (so, what, a 170 or 190 basically, no? Or am I missing something?) to that big beautiful Boeing flight deck! I'm amazed that she didn't have to work up from the 737. In my head (perhaps wrongly), the Dreamliner is analogous to the Jumbo. In the latter case, there are all these grizzled vets with 10,000+ hours who worked up from the military then went to 727, then 757/767, and after many years of waiting, finally got into the left seat on the 747 (often in cargo first). It's really cool to see another type of trajectory (and did I mishear, or did she say she was in GA just four years ago? If so: wow!). That was a cool, calm, professional flight deck, too. Would gladly fly with either of them any day. Wishing First Officer Paula (don't know her last name) and Captain Mutungi blue skies and good tailwinds!
in usa its like that but in many countries you have 250 hour pilots flying fo a320 . while to be even called for an interview with an airline who flies the a320 in usa you need 2000 hours there are many pilots in usa and airlines in usa can hire foreigners with work permits many countries require citizenship to work to protect for their own people usa big biz has faa in back pilot
women controlling a machine like this, it gives me pleasure to see, congratulations (mulheres controlando uma maquina assim, da até prazer em ver, parabéns)
Einhander49 no difference between the two when it comes to the flying part, both will take off hand flown, engage the autopilot, fly to destination, disconnect the autopilot and hand fly the approach and landing (weather/other factor dependent). So how does the "supervise" part come into it?
I've never seen a landing where the captain says 'I have control' mid-way through a landing when the First officer is the one landing the plane. Was this something unusual or just the norm ?
Wow!!! Simply fantastic these females Rock! The wonderful Almighty above God!! put us all here women & men ethnicities it doesn't matter to complish one common goal!! To honor & praise God!!! respect & pray for each other love one another & enjoy doing what we do. So take care kick back & relax & continue to watch these fantastic videos & stories of people all alike & all over! God bless!! you all & take care of everyone...🙏✌️🤳😎🖐️👌🤘:-)👨👩👦👦❤️💥👍🙏
Jagda, in some airlines (not most) the captain does all of the ground taxiing, hence taking control, even though most airliners can be taxied from either seat. It’ll just be their company policy. As far as I’m aware, most 787 operators don’t use this SOP. My company certainly doesn’t.
Jagda It seems to be SOP in most , if not all , airlines that the captain controls all ground movements, even when the first officer is the Pilot Flying.
congratulation to the Mother Captain of the Flight , giving full responsabilities to her small daughter co pilot and keeping on eye all the flight landing . when i say mother and daughter is becos for respect . BRAVO CAPTAIN 6 CO PILOT GOD BLESSES YOU AMEN !

PrimiusLovin
I think you mean "one of the best jobs ANYONE can dream of". Right? Or were you attempting to throw shade at Kenya for some reason?

This is Paula Mwarari. The captain on this flight is Irene "Koki" Mutungi.
Nice smooth landing.
Is that Captain Koki Mutungi in the captain’s seat?
aukahkay yes I believe its Koki
Yup.
aukahkay Yup!
yeap she is the one captain koki
who's aukha?
Awesome work ladies!
women controlling a machine like this, it gives me pleasure to see, congratulations (mulheres controlando uma maquina assim, da até prazer em ver, parabéns)
CONGRATULATIONS PAULA, GOD BLESS YOU !
Gotta love Boeing cockpits, all-glass yet still full of switches and knobs. Airbus designs look so much cleaner.
You either wanna fly a plane or simply supervise it like an Airbus.
Einhander49 no difference between the two when it comes to the flying part, both will take off hand flown, engage the autopilot, fly to destination, disconnect the autopilot and hand fly the approach and landing (weather/other factor dependent). So how does the "supervise" part come into it?
Besides the yoke vs side stick they are pretty much the same...
This is awesome
I've never seen a landing where the captain says 'I have control' mid-way through a landing when the First officer is the one landing the plane. Was this something unusual or just the norm ?
That's very nice!
Very nice, Africa and the rest of the world are proud of you! Why only 2 stripes?
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Awesome!

Pilot Faris i
So beautiful
Super smooth landing
urraaa mrembo....we love u
Why did the Captain take control even after the first officer landed is successfully ?
Company operating procedures. The Captain takes control on roll out and taxi.
Jagda, in some airlines (not most) the captain does all of the ground taxiing, hence taking control, even though most airliners can be taxied from either seat. It’ll just be their company policy. As far as I’m aware, most 787 operators don’t use this SOP. My company certainly doesn’t.
Jagda captain take control the plane for taxiing to the apron.
Not a pilot. Is that out of the ordinary?
Jagda It seems to be SOP in most , if not all , airlines that the captain controls all ground movements, even when the first officer is the Pilot Flying.
Amazing
Девчёнки умнички! Вижу их то в Schiphol,то в John F. Kennedy International, и всё у них супер!
Got to love it
