Always a pleasure watching Julian. Such an incredible guy. He takes my breath away every time I see him. Another great interview with him. Need more of him 👏👏😘😘❤️❤️
Omg! Kara, you did it again ✨what would be of us, Julian fans, without you? Loved the interview, always a joy to see you taking that unique emotional approach. Oh, I love that man! I’m so happy he is well, back in LA and with a movie on the way. I wish him nothing but the best! Thank you, Kara!💖
Julian talks with an American accent most of the time now. Apparently when he first moved to the US he started talking in an American accent all the time because he thought it would be easier for him to get acting roles. I guess it must have just started to stick a bit. Every now and then you can hear the Aussie accent come out though.
Hi Kara, Greetings from Budapest and many thanks for the interviews! I liked the then/now question and his answer to that - the 20 yrs. retrospective, the “then” / “now” feelings, bars & clubs scenes in L.A., NY, the symbolical? scene - Malibu - evoking “la belle epoque” of Nip/Tuck. Oh, and the 3 computers story - I loved that - it was in one of the previous interviews; it would be interesting to hear from him more of such Impulse anecdotes 😊. About Nip/ Tuck and the incredible “McMahon effect”: I didn’t know this "enfant terrible" existed until I watched Nip/Tuck few weeks ago - with a more than decade-long delay but it doesn’t matter, the show is timeless; it is definitely Ryan Murphy’s magnum opus in which Julian McMahon is the key ingredient characterized by an archetypal, transcendent beauty and talent I have never seen/ met before. (Julian/ Christian - Christian/ Julian - interesting insights from Julian on how easy was to slip into the character and how hard to escape from it; from outside it was fascinating, it felt like a continuous glissando - hard to say who slipped into whose shoes😊) In Nip/Tuck he is the Baryshnikov of the seventh art - the sensual, emotional, mental arabesques and pirouettes, sautés and jetés are performed with extraordinary artistry, finesse, and a savage - but nonetheless perfectly calibrated intensity. However, this doesn’t fully explain the ”McMahon effect”: in weird contrast to that savage intensity there is a subtle radiance of transcendence and kindness which emanates from him - neutralizing the aberrant, grotesque and tragic aspects with a sense of revelation - ironically, and as the ultimate proof that beauty is always meaningful, and never accidental... Unbelievable...
Thank you, Kara, for the conversation with Julian. It was spontaneous. This is what made it more beautiful. Julian is a really good person who deserves all the appreciation, respect and success.❤❤😊
Nip Tuck saw a couple of episodes. I bought the rest of the seasons.Still have it on dvd.l Julian McMahon was wonderful. And the rest of the cast. Just wow.❤❤❤❤
I started watching nip/tuck tonight again, lots of laughter at the unobtainable “perfection”. I do remember it as such a smooth and glossy show. I loved that time of life 2003-2004.. l..time could stretch into infinity. Was wondering what he looked like now. Am I not watching the right shows cause Ive not seen him in anything in a long time.
Hi Kara! You always do such an amazing job with these interviews and Julian of course is always such a class act. I love his work and his down to earth, kind hearted nature. Would you be so kind as to ask him at some point (assuming you haven't already and I've just missed it somehow) if there are any roles or characters that he has aspired to play, but just hasn't had the chance to for one reason or another? Also, what kind of music is he into? He strikes me as someone who takes great interest in such a broad array of things and has a real zeal for life, so I would be curious to know what he likes to listen to when he's looking to jam out or just relax after work.
Thank you Kara. I love your interviews. You make the audience feel as though we are there with you having coffee. One question. Where ,oh where is lovely Julian's wonderful Aussie accent?
Thank you! That’s my goal so it’s so nice to hear that’s the feeling you get when watching the show. Did you not hear his accent in this chat? I guess he goes in and out of it. Maybe that’s what happens when you play a lot of Americans 🤷🏻♀️ Thanks for watching & sharing!
Julian was really cool on the show Nip/Tuck! I'll be waiting for more interviews with him because unfortunately there are very few of them! I would also like to see an interview with Jensen Ackles, he is very charismatic and interesting, and he sings really well.
I love Julian McMahon as an actor- unfortunately he always play a bad guy (except in FBI). I hated when his character died (Jess). He is still missed. His whole family left (Tally, his in laws, etc) also. I loved him in Charmed as Cole. I also loved him in Fantastic 4 as Victor. He is a really good actor.
I think most people knew that his Dad was PM of Australia. He would have been quite young at the time, so to be honest not sure how much he’d remember about it.
Bwawahahaha americans calling their eggball football and real football(played in every continent on earth)they call soccer which is atually played with your feet and is the definition of ball..our muricans are not too bright but but..
@suemossley Well if it was good enough for the producer n director, it gotta b good enough for ordinary viewers like u without cinematic training! Are u a professional movie critic or just a fussy arm chair critic! Lol!
Always a pleasure watching Julian. Such an incredible guy. He takes my breath away every time I see him. Another great interview with him. Need more of him 👏👏😘😘❤️❤️
Thank you very much, Kara! So nice to see Julian! Very beautiful location! Looking forward to a great interview with incredible impatience!☺💐

I think most people knew that his Dad was PM of Australia. He would have been quite young at the time, so to be honest not sure how much he’d remember about it.
INCREDIBLE ! NIP THUK
Nip tuck and dexter were the only two tv shows that were any good to me..
There’s a lot of background noise competing with your voices lol
It's a shame he lost his Aussie accent!
He sounds good in any accent tho.
I was thinking the same!! 12:16
Love Julian,he is so beautiful...
oh gee, Julian is immorally handsome!
Ask him about Dannii Minogue.
He's such a cutie. Where's his accent though?
