Noel can't play lead that well anymore so will 100% need gem there, but wouldn't hurt to have a 3rd guitar player like bonehead to add a wall of sound, but then Liam's weak vocal chords will struggle to sing with how loud Oasis play, which is why Brady eye and he's solo stuff had no balls behind it.
You contradict yourself when you put Guigsy in over Andy Bell saying Guigsy was an inferior musician but was the spirit of Oasis, but then you put Gem in instead of Bonehead. Not only was Bonehead an original member like Guigsy, but Bonehead was a far superior musician to Guigsy also, not only able to play guitar but various instruments.
Best live Oasis gig for me was Earls Court in 95 so I’d opt for that lineup - having said that, one of my favourite Oasis songs is Gas Panic and you’d need Archer and Bell for that! It’s really tough. Be nice to have Bonehead and Archer, another guitarist can’t hurt
True that! the thing is that Bonehead wouldn't do justice in later tracks after the be here now album, while Gem would! in other words Gem can replace bonehead but bonehead can't replace gem.... if it was up to me id have 3 guitars haha. We'll see because by the wind blowing Bonehead is in the lineup and we also can predict the Gem is available and up for the reunion !
I like mikes use of samples, he has made a great contribution to the band in my opinion. As far as bass players, I thought the lad that Liam played with in his solo stuff is a good choice.
@eyeballtickler24 totally agree, end of the day I'm just glad they're back together and hopefully new music soon. They have been very quiet lately and usually when that happens they are in the studio.
Probem is Noel can't play lead anymore so he will 100% need Gem there, but it wouldn't hurt having a 3rd guitar player with Bonehead to add a wall of sound.
you don't know what you're talking about, noel has still been playing professionally for years he will still be able to play the lead solos, oasis solos are very easy.
@@ligfjdjdjc440 yes but he tends to take rhythm duties more now than lead, he's said himself in countless interviews he can't play lead very well anymore, straight from the horses mouth. Do you know what lead guitar is? I assume you do not.
@@danmartin886 Agree, it's a close call for me between Sharrock or White, but I'm pretty sure it's already confirmed Noel Gallagher's high flying birds is the band playing just with Liam included.
Noel on guitar, Liam on Vocals, Bonehead and Gem on guitars. Paul McCartney on Bass and Ringo on Drums and throw in Paul on keys with Bill Wyman taking over on bass....hey if we're gonna do this... >:) Nah. I can see Noel and Liam pulling an Eagles thing and having Bonehead and maybe Grigsy and Tony come on for "Guest Spots". But the lions share of the show is gonna be the High Flying Birds because you KNOW Noel made them learn all the songs >:)
I'm sorry, but Oasis isn't just about the first three albums. I can't imagine Guigsy playing the bass line for Go Let It Out, for example, and that song is one of their best. Choosing Alan over Zak is fine (I prefer Zak because he's more punk-more like Tony but with Alan's technique), but picking Guigsy over Bell doesn't make much sense to me. It feels more like a nostalgic choice than a musical one. They're not picking musicians for an exhibit; on stage, they'll have to play songs from their entire history. As for the guitarists, Bonehead, unlike Guigsy, brought more personality to the sound, and I think that's essential to making the older songs sound more punk, with his barre chords and distorted amp. Gem will support Noel with the solo parts, while Noel will play the songs with the classic chords. As of today, it seems the lineup will be (my guess, looking at the stage from left to right): Andy, Bonehead, Liam, Noel, Gem, and Zak at the back. Three guitarists for the first time-c'mon! That's something fresh, not just nostalgia.
Some valid points mate, just to be clear I lovvvve all oasis albums it’s just hard to pick the lineup as each past members all bring something individually unique I love Tony’s drumming too 😊
Guigsy was always out of time Noel Gallagher play the Bass on the first two album , Liam and Noel did not let Tony go. It was just Noel , are you sure you’re a fan?
If Whitey isn't there I will not be seeing many shows his the best Oasis drummer when he left it was never the same and the set lists and the Oasis sound suffered !
Andy Bell never felt like an outsider. He was a massive part of Oasis - in the studio, songwriting, on stage and as one of the lads
Definitely did feel like an outsider. Incredibally fake. The same with Gem Archer.
he also wrote a bell will ring which is extremely oasisy...love it
@@TheDiamond909 Gem wrote 'A Bell Will Ring'.
John bonham on drums , jaco Pastorius on bass , and Malcom young on rhythm

Zak
Andy
Noel + Bonehead + Gem
Liam

Andy and Gem were tops. They made Noel a better musician. I am on team Andy and Gem!

Calling Carroll a “raw powerhouse” is hilarious.
It’s the total, complete opposite of his style, sound and what stood for.
