  • Unboxing and setup of the Milwaukee Packout Dolly. Why this Packout Dolly is better than the DIY version (and really not much more expensive than a DIY dolly setup. The Milwaukee Packout system is a great way to store and organize your tools and create great workflow in the shop or to transport tools from shop to the job site.

If you have any ideas for the Packout system (example: your most useful Packout accessory or mods), please share them here. We'd love to hear from you in how you built out the best setup to get the job done.

Just got mine today and it makes a huge difference in moving it around! One thing: The driver isn't necessary to install the wheels. You can push it in with both hands while applying downward force pretty easily. Doesn't take much force to snap the wheels into place.

Like to see an all terrain wheel replacement modification to the dolly

I disagree the problem with the Milwaukee dolly is that the wheel brackets stick out to far , which stops tidy packing in the van and on the job site. So for me it was not about the money . I have been using my DIY versions for the a good while now coupled with a costco sack truck which gives much better versatility. So DIY has been the way to go for me.

Good suggestion. I'm not opposed to DIY, but think if the dolly fits your need, it's nice to have the brake. If someone has the DIY with a brake, that would be a cool option.

@@rustyrockwoodcraft Mine has breaks on each wheel so you can stop it from any side. Also if you are a time served trades person with product liability insurance does it make it DIY ?

I just got one and got lucky with the whole caster placement i used common sense and figured id be out front most the time and if im hittin that brake pedal i may apply the parking brake at sum point so i luckly put the lockers on the front anyway to my surprise it worked out in my favor lol

My dolly was missing the spring. By any chance do you have the dimensions of the spring? Length, number of coils?

      I measured: 1inch diameter, 2.5 in length, 10 coils.
