I’ve been going over the first few videos in the A1 category for the past few days. I realized that me taking notes wasn’t helping me learn and retain what I already learned. For some people it might work, but for me and how I learn, watching videos is what really helps me. And I live in America so I’m not around German speaking people. So to get myself familiar to the language I watch German people play video games. Cause I like video games, so I can hopefully start understanding things they say a little better. I am making the most progress learning this way. I can’t wait to show off my language skills to my friends and family lol. Also I want to yell at people in German on video games.😂😂
actually taking notes is not the most efficient learning method. The most efficient method is Aplying the data you just learned inmediately. It can be doing those worksheets. or making notes of the stuff you recall(not directly from the video but your brain). Then after a few days practice again. Aplying Active Recalling and Spacius repetition is the way to go.
I am like you, I am a passive learner, I don't like taking notes, I like sitting on couch watching German videos over and over again, I forget some words but I learn some words too until it becomes natural and I can memorize most of them, that is my method.
I've decided to start learning German during lockdown to help my job prospects after the economy has tanked and these videos are really helping. Thanks!
@@Jim-so3zm We're both on the same page here, in fact I'm doing the same. We'll need it and German is a great pick and regardless of the difficulty itll pay off Im certain. Gd luck 👌🏼
When I was 3 years old I went to Germany for two years. This made me know how to speak in German but after I came back to India, there was no one who would know the language so I kept forgetting how to speak. Then my father introduced me to lingoni GERMAN and it was working so well😁😃
Outstanding teacher! Jenny is the number1 in the market when It comes to quality Just discovered this channel and I couldn't pass by without leaving a comment
I’m passing A1 already and now waiting for the list of schools. I have to say that the school that I went for A1 was not really useful like your videos because it was for the test To watch this A1 video it helps me so much to get ready for the future. Im looking forward for more A1 videos! Vielen Danke! 🙏🏽
I speak English, Arabic and Spanish, German is too hard for me too, but luckily because I speak Arabic, I have learned to pronounce some difficult German sounds like "r" and "ch"

Hi Jenny, thanks for the amazing lessons... just had a couple of questions: 1) why do we say "wo ist das auto" or 'wo wohnen sie".. but say "woher kommen sie?" - how to decide between wo and woher? 2) @6:18 I notice that both the subtitle and your pronunciation is 'Ich wohne ín' Koln' rather than Ích wohne im Koln'.. why the difference and how to decide between using in an im? Thanks!
