The main and very important thing is… Pecan brown interior should be available for both the trims as both are top end trims And Bench seats option should also be available for both the trims as at the end of the day it’s all about customer’s choice Hyundai and KIA should understand this and implement the same
I understand why they have different color option because they are different grades of leather. This does make it somewhat confusing for the consumer though.
I so agree with you! That's why I l like the Limited trim more than I like the Calligraphy trim now, & I used to like the Calligraphy trim of the previous gen Santa Fe more than the Limited trim. I'm usually a top trim kind of person, but the Limited is the better value trim now
I agree with you bc I really wish the top trims of the Palisade & Telluride didn't restrict you to Captain's chairs, & they do the same thing with the Santa Fe Calligraphy & the top Sorento trims also like the SX Prestige
Thanks for your detailed comparison. Your videos are always so well-done. I like the exterior styling of the Calligraphy better than the Limited but I love the pecan brown interior in the Limited. Since I'll be spending way more time on the inside than looking at the outside, I'm leaning towards the Limited. As you've driven the Calligraphy vs other models, have you noticed a difference between HDA 2 and HDA 1? I could potentially convince myself the upgraded HDA and HUD are worth the premium too.
I brought the limited. My only problem is why not put the c pillar assit handle but you got rakes on top. Just a cost cutting that didn't make sense to me
Just bought an AWD LTD in Earth Matte with Pecan brown interior for my wife last weekend. Taking it to MT from CA next week so eager to see how well it performs in all driving conditions and average mpg in return. Wife loves it so far though
Adding to it: flat tire in Utah. Mobility kit is incomplete as there is no compressor only the bottle of sealant. Bluelink not activated yet, nothing open for another hour. Really frustrating. No substitute for a compact spare tire especially if the mobility kit is incomplete
Saw a video where they called the 2025 the facelift model. meaning it the same as the year before except, it changed it looks with a few new bonus. Power train and mechanic is the same. Like the dash panel are now one long panel and not two. The stitching and design of the interior. It the same core, just the the looks are more trendy. I wish I could get Calligraphy with bench seats. That would have been nice. Also, I wish someone would post the measurements length before you hit the seat and the width of the max you can put it. To know the max size you can slide in with all the seats down. No one post that.
I'm leaning towards the Calligraphy, but have to admit 50k is getting up there. Which has me on the fence between a sedan or SF. I currently own a '20 Limted 2.0 turbo.
Do you know about Hyundai's features called "Passenger Talk" / Quiet Mode and "Car Wash Mode" in the 2024 Santa Fe? If you could respond, I'd appreciate it. Your videos are more thorough and you do a great job presenting. Thanks
I can't stand it when companies limit what trim level i can get because they have pre determined how many seats I need. Stupid. I want a bench seat so therefore i can't get top of the line? Stupid.
This may be a dumb question, but, if you connect your phone to the Apple Car play or Android Auto and then connect to FaceTime or WhatsApp video, are you able to see the other person on the infotainment screen?
I don't believe the performance of the lane centering is any better however I have seen videos that state the system is more advanced in it's operations when passing other vehicles.
In my experience, it centers you much more organically. HDA1 seems to let you get close to the edge then pull you back in. HDA 2 is constantly do mini adjustments tk keep you centered. It also changes lanes more quickly. HDA1 will change lanes for you, but there's a but if delay while it's deciding if it's safe. HDA2 decides very quickly and changes the lane about as fast as a driver would.
@stargate25645 What do you mean when you say high speed turns? If it's high speed but it's a gradual curve, it'll help guide you well. But you should not be counting on any drive assist if you're making a high speed, deep turn lol
@@derekplatt9205 turns at interstate and highway speed limits (45-70 here) when the curve isn't quite designed to current standards so it's tighter. HDA1 does fine on gradual curves, but things like ramps or even some turns it will not do. Reviews that mentioned it indicate HDA2 is better at that (CarSceneKorea specifically), but I haven't seen someone test it with a US model.
They don't have auto leveling and don't have the option to adjust from the inside cabin. They should have mechanical adjustments under the hood like most vehicles. This is likely due to the regulations placed on vehicles in the US.
@@CarsMadeSimple Yep must be. In Europe there is a button inside. If you have weight at the back, you can lower the headlight to not glare the oncomming traffic.
The Hybrid does not use a DCT to it will not have any of the same issues in regards to the transmission. I have not heard of any issues with the Hybrid version yet.
I have the hybrid, also had the 2023 hybrid. Their transmissions have a very good reputation. I wish Hyundai would continue this DCT and just give them the same fully automatic 8-speed that's in the Palisade.
I cannot figure out how those wheels on the Limited passed any committee. They are fugly. If I bought a Limited I would have to invest in all new wheels. I also don’t like how top trims get larger, i.e. lower profile wheels. I prefer the 18’s on the XRT. Higher sidewalls are more comfortable and practical.
Their 8 speed transmission has issues. 60,000 nationwide are not safe to drive. Also has 2 current recalls. Before buying, make sure no issues because Hyundai has no fix for the transmission. If you buy it, you'll be responsible for paying even if you can't drive it. I suggest a Kia.
@@river6643 Same transmission in both the 2.5 T Sorento and 2.5 T Sante Fe. Hopefully they have fixed the transmission issues that occurred in the early 2024 vehicles!

Great comparison review!
A good comparison of these two!! 👍👍 I like the limited because of the wheel design. Not a fan of black wheels . Keep up the good work 👍🙂
glad to be the first one to watch this video. love the content. very very informative and well made

Agreed!

Such a great video! Just got a black Calligraphy with gray interior yesterday! Turned in my 2022 leased Calligraphy 2 mos early❤❤❤
Thank you!
The SEL has everything I need.
Love ky SF CALLIGRAPHY AWD 2.5T. So quite, comfortable and techy. Lol
I'm leaning towards the Calligraphy, but have to admit 50k is getting up there. Which has me on the fence between a sedan or SF. I currently own a '20 Limted 2.0 turbo.
Well with your trade in that would reduce the price of the new Limited or Calligraphy
I priced out a Calligraphy today. My discount off of MSRP- $0.

Calligraphy in Earthy Brass Matte for me baby!

The Limited trim is a great value because you're not missing much from the Calligraphy imo
This may be a dumb question, but, if you connect your phone to the Apple Car play or Android Auto and then connect to FaceTime or WhatsApp video, are you able to see the other person on the infotainment screen?
Probably not because the camera is on your phone & those apps only support audio calls on the Infotainment system
Black interior is a hard no-go
I like the chrome trim on the outside of the limited better.
Does HDA2 keep the lane centering better or anything like that than HDA1?
I don't believe the performance of the lane centering is any better however I have seen videos that state the system is more advanced in it's operations when passing other vehicles.

Does it have height adjustment headlights? Why none of the USA/Canada Hyundai/Kia models have this option. Are they auto leveling or smth?

Limited wheels are very ugly
Agreed, thick block-like rims look bad in general.
Another person in agreement!
What. Shut up they look so cool
The previous men's 20" Calligraphy trim wheels would look better on the new Santa Fe
It’s not the wheels it’s the vehicle color that doesn’t match with the wheels

Absolutely garbage (both of them)
It's one of the ugliest cars in history.

I wish the Calligraphy had a 2d row bench seat. I take my dogs in the 2d row and a flat surface is better.
The old Santa Fe 2023 is beautiful. The new model 2024,2025, are really ugly , I don’t see many ppl drive those model .
