Love the Expanse, most realistic vision of our Future in space so far except from the spoilery parts ;) i wish there were some Battlestars and Cylon Cruisers. Also SSD's from StarWars and the Lexx are missing. But if you put in all of them, the video will take forever. Good work.
So first, congrats on doing I think the first size comparison video I've ever seen that has full textures on most of the ships. Since the camera is tracking further and further out to fit bigger and bigger ships in frame, it might be useful to repeat some of the previously shown smaller ships next to the larger ships for context. This would really help with the "comparison" part. And on a more personal note, I do wish there had been more Star Trek represented in the smaller ships... ie: Type 6 shuttle (6m), Runabout (23m), USS Defiant (120m), Oberth class (150m). But that's just my own personal preferences. I'm sure there are no end of ships people would like to see added.
@@adamlytle2615 The lack of original, refit, TNG Enterprise was disturbing, as was the lack of anything from Macross/Robotech, such as the Valkyrie or the SDF-1.
Surely there must have been something between Red Dwarf and the Death Star. Kushan Mothership from Homeworld? The Destiny from Stargate Universe? Any capital ship from EVE Online?
Very nice and extremely well detailed. I'm being needlessly nitpicky, BUT, I don't see Spaceman Spiff's ship here at all. He has saved the day just by walking away after crashing his ship. His ship is capable of going fast enough to blast into a dimension where time looses all meaning.
I find the lack of Star Trek's Enterprise - original, refit, TNG disturbing. I also find the lack of Valkyrie or the SDF-1 from Macross/Robotech equally disturbing. This list is therefore incomplete.
@@mostdata Al'Kesh in this video has a smaller cockpit than the neighboring Falcon, which is definitely not the case according to the footage of the series. According to interior shots, both ships have roughly the same wide cockpit. So Al'Kesh has at least 50 meters or more. Daedalus is certainly not 225 meters, because then its hangars would not fit its F-302 fighters, which are 21 meters wide (compared to its pilot on shot), and into one hangar is fit a runway, and on both sides, sloping parking spaces for these fighters and that gives a width of about 50 meters for one of the hangars, and according to the official model of the ship, the hangar nacelle is still 2.5 times wider than hangar itself and the whole ship 18.4 times longer than the width of the hangars. So the length of the ship is approximately 920 meters. Prometheus fit on 195 meters, but in the ninth season they created hangars in the nacelles for the original hyperdrive, and to fit his F -302 fighters there, it would have to be over 300 meters.
I will always love these kinds of vids. And I love seeing an actual space shuttle compared to the rest. Also didn't expect that Red Dwarf was that big.
Red Dwarf has a series of multiple decks that normal crew don't know exist that contains an entire prison complex. Was also big enough to birth an entire Humanoid cat civilization and hide the traces in it bowels.
