I'm just beginning to learn about thermos cooking. The idea using a bag is just the thing I was looking for as all the other recipes are 'soup', which is ok but not as versatile as I was looking for. This is brilliant.
Eric, preheating the thermos with boiling water really helps. Then, if you have the time, the food you want to cook, (potatoes, pintos, etc) to a boil. After about 4 hours, you'll be eating good! 😁
@@NewandOldSurvival Awesome tip! I'm self-employed i do drywall and painting. But to save money and not eating out so much, decided to try theromosing out! 😄 It's best to make ur own shit and social distancing from other folks til this plandemic blows over.... Ya dig? 😉
You can carry mini cookers in luggage. How about a1.75 plastic kettle dry first add a shirt to the kettle to save space and make kettle crush resistant.
Do this only if you have an automatic kettle put your e kettle full of water and eggs in your insulated bag. Turn it on and the water should boil, by morning you should have hard boiled eggs. That or you could do the same if your kettle is not automatic you can put it in the bag with the eggs in the water with a timer to turn on before coffee.
Noticed u have a microwave in the background. I make microwave omelettes with a 4 inch silicone muffin cup, put some ham pieces in silicone cup, some shredded cheese, stir in 2 eggs, microwave 3 minutes, comes out looking like a muffin but it is a Ham & Cheese Omelette, this has become my go to breakfast meals especially when traveling because I always have a microwave in motel rooms.
Although they are yellow, they can still be free range. And orange color just means the chickens received high vit A food, but they are not necessary free range
I get $2insulated tumblers 30-40oz, they just got too much stuff gotta do something with it. $2 thrift store buy . I got more than I use but I buy almost free stuff all the time. I can buy it for around watts they paid for tax or shipping I will make that purchase. You can leave them outside out of the rain they're fine . I went out got one put 3 eggs in added boiling water. 5 min poured water out an egg did crack need to add a buffer to avoid cracks in the lower egg. I added boiling water and placed blue foam board insulation. Took the cup made a cut by forcing the cup into the board flipped the board and used knife to get it to fit . Should use a compass for better cut but I put the holes side to the solid side of the factory lid. I have insulated cover all hanging up Used rubber band to go around the folded arm added the 30oz tumbler and I stuffed Walmart bags on top added a shirt to help insulation. I dumpster diving stuff and I pass on the white foam flexible Used for packing everything and these are thrown away. This would be good. Another way is place in a super insulated chest the they use for keeping live fish with a bubbler. I got one yard sale $7 I Used it for a foot rest and a chair at the RTR 2017. Affordable solutions using the abundance is nearly endless. Smokeless cooking using vacuum tubes and reflective solar gain. I'll take the eggs out around noonish they were 7am start. It's 9 now I will take one out and see what I have. 2 hours should be ideal.brb. SUCCESS WITH 2 HOURS EGGS,HARD BOILED BOTTOM WAS BLED OUT OF THE HOLE BUT ALL 3 PEELED EASILY.
The salt and pepper may be a little bit of milk with it up first with a fork laying on its side and then it’ll slide out in a square right onto a piece of bread
In order to make hard boiled eggs you need a small electric water heater. You have to put eggs in the termos, add cool water, put the water heater and heat the water to the boiling point. Then you take the heater out, close the lid and wait, i think 15 mins is enough.
Next time don’t fill the water all the way to the top this way it won’t create a vacuum it’ll be easy to open I would pour the hot water over the sink with a funnel funnel for canning would work well I’ve done rice put all my seasoning, a pad of butter chop up some bacon. Some cheese in the rice is done at my lunchtime.
You sound like an Aussie sometimes. I do packet noodles pre boiled egg the night before and another thermos for hot water put the water in for 10 min done and coffee as well in my Stanley cook cup set. Cheers
Hey my man that's a nice piece u got on ur hip. im assuming S&W .40 cal., cuz that's what i carry. Kentucky is concealed and open carry too. Do u think ground hamburger With rice could work ?

Very smart and useful, Mike! Thanks for sharing!
