Busy Day at Cardiff Airport! Heavy Traffic + *C-130 Fly-By*

Plane spotting at Cardiff International (CWL/EGFF) on Saturday 17th June 2023. I originally only went to the airport today to catch the 2Excel 737-700, but ended up staying for over 5 hours due to the insane surprise visit from the formation of RAF Lockheed C-130-Js! With the type being retired from RAF service at the end of June 2023, many spotters who happened to be there that day thought we had seen the last of them, especially as their 'farewell tour' just days prior completely avoided all of South Wales and the SW of England. However, when RAF Brize Norton's runway experienced 'melting' issues due to the summer heat, the formation were promptly instructed to land at Cardiff - though not before conducting a formation fly-by along runway 30. A very lucky treat indeed! So enjoy this footage of both Cardiff's bread-n-butter daily traffic, and the historic moment of the RAF C-130 departing the Welsh capital for the final ever time.
