Orlando missed the mark BIG TIME. What a COLOSSAL mistake, how do you select a player without even speaking to them?!?! Huge loss for the team and for the City. We would have loved to have you Mia! Proud of you for going with your gut and doing what you felt was best for you. When people don’t treat you right from the start, it tells you a lot about them. I feel like there’s context I missed. Mia is a badass player. I wasn’t aware you can simply say “no” to a draft? That’s why it’s called a draft. To not talk to a player before drafting seems asinine; I wonder if Orlando didn’t think she’d fall to them. But also…how is it that Mia has this much power?
So what’s next for her? I’ll have to listen to the full episode. I hope this ends up being a good look for her and not a “Gen Z is entitled and doesn’t know how to face adversity” kind of situation.
