The details on this are amazing... for example, at 1:32, when they dodge the "flying machine", James looks up and makes an angry gesture, and than Brian touches his arm, like telling him to calm down and get back to singing. It feels so natural, but you can tell they rehearsed every single movement on this. I mean, this is not supposed to be a great art masterpiece or anything like that, but these guys really put a lot of effort into making it. Not to mention the perfect harmonies. Gotta love this.
Thanks... Confirming it's live is even more impressive. The video lost sync a couple of times which "tricked" me into thinking their singing is to perfect to be live. Hitting those chords that well with all the stage presents, that is Awesome!!! Man oh Man they're good!
Amazing! I rewinded a few bits in the middle of the song just to hear the notes again/ see the hilarious actions again. I'm not surprised they are one of your favourite. Which other ones do you like.
There are not lip syncing. This was recorded during a competition and lip syncing is against the rules. This quartet is known for their comedic performances.
Wasn't it these guys that were the 12th place 11th place mike testers one year? Like, the year before the top 10 would consist of 15 quartets, all of them getting a gold medal? Or something like that...
the stretch of 39-42 was definitely out of tune. That was not the augmented 7th or half-diminished which should have been there. Kill my ears. Good thing they got back in tune. It was otherwise very good.
ok, you think it was homosexual for some reason... what if they are gay? gay people can be funny. they are just doing what they love and find the funny side and portray it in a way that best suits them. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but they are one the most famous barbershop quartets.
Unfortunately all that show biz doesn't disguise the fact that this quartet does not have a true bass. What it does have is a baritone trying to cover the bass line with insufficient timbre and range. Other than that it's just fine.
Still listening over a year later
My god i could listen to this for hours on end
Still listening

It seems to me that, from left to right, this group has tenor, bass, lead, bari.
Were they the actual performers or were they doing stage presents and lip syncing to a recording? Very funny stuff.
