That’s what people say but I think that the first chunk of Thracia takes place during chapter 6. The Isaachian rebellion was around a year long and chapter 7 of Genealogy shows the events of chapter 19 of Thracia.
I think it's funny to think that the villages in chapter 9 could actually be Tahra. I mean, in FE5 it is one of the main things they talk about and Leif's army struggled to defend it. But then Seliph's huge army come here and just liberate it like it was some random towns.
I beat Genealogy earlier this year and I’m now on 21x of Thracia! It’s really cool to see where everything took place in the game in comparison to Jugdral and just the scale of things. I feel bad for how far Arden has to run on every map.
@@Miacisjaune I really did! It's clever how FE5, despite having some contradictory aspects in the story and characters, also fits very well into the existing FE4 map. You did a great job!
I'm still playing Fire Emblem 4 (finally on chapter 10). I expected FE 5 would end with Leif's fighting Trabant, but from what i saw on your video that's not the case. At least in my playthrough of FE4 Leif delivered the final blow on Trabant (speaking of which, that chapter 9 was insane!).
Yeah, FE5 ends once Leif has liberated all of Lenster. What comes after is all done under Seliph's leadership, so I can see why they chose to stop at Manster. Still, if you wanna play FE5, they do sneak in a bunch of development for the Thracian royals, and some of their attendants even join Leif's posse. Chapter 9 was pretty great, yeah. This is where the game starts escalating quite a bit, throwing a bunch of wyvern triangle-squads at you. Chapter 10 also has its moments, and then you get to the Epilogue and it's like *pfffffrt what the hell is all this*
FE5 is definitely worth the try. Less epic proportions, but the level design and mechanics are a rather unique kind of "vicious but exploitable." Also the story''s pretty good, way less White VS Black than FE4 (now if only it had a _good_ translation patch...) It's still got some weird obscure bs, so if you can, maybe check the "Before I play" page for it.
travant never was a main villain, i may be spoiling a little but in some things he was used by manfroy, and everything he did was just for the good of his lands (thracia), he wasnt greed, great man.
Miacisjaune the translation patch is bad because part of the us language is in the game in the form of text, and for some reason some of it is in jpg files. That’s why stuff like the menu is fucked up
I wanted to come back to this video because I played both game again and I noticed a small detail that actually has a lot of importance. In FE4, in chapter 6, when you seize Ganeshire, the first castle in Isaach, Lewyn appears and give Julia to Seliph, telling him to keep her safe because he has to go check on Leonster (he says something like this). If you continue to play up to the end of the chapter by conquering Isaach, he'll come back and talk to you about how the world is suffering from the empire and that Seliph needs to rise as the new hero of the light. Then you play Thracia up to the end of chapter 14x and there's a surprise: Lewyn makes a cameo and talks with August. He tells him he has to go back to Isaach but first he has to go check on Orgahill. Then the next time the 2 games' timelines crossover is in FE4's chapter 7 which has both Chapter 19 and 20 from Thracia in it. You finish FE4's chapter 7 by meeting with Leif and that's also what happens at the end of FE5's chapter 20: Leif's struggle ends with Seliph saving his army at Leonster. So what do I want to show with all of this? Well, we all know that a chapter of FE4 is not only very big in size but it also represents a lot of time. If we can place 14X happening somewhere after Ganeshire being seized and chapter 20 finishing at the same time as FE4's chapter 7. That would mean that during one and a half FE4's chapter, there's actually 7 FE5 chapters that happened. I won't make any average of this because that example is already not representative: there's like 5 chapter during the second half of chapter 6 and only 2 during 7. Also FE5's chapter 21 to 25 happens during chapter 8 in Genealogy. Counting the gaiden chapters, it makes 7 chapters during one FE4 chapter. Which is again different to the 2 others. But still, this show how much time passes in a single chapter of FE4.
2:10 It’s been few years since I finished FE5, but damn that old lady. Had she shut her mouth up this man might’ve lived. Everything went to shit for months if not a year because half of Leif’s army had to rush to a losing battle completely exhausted.
Not exactly. FE4 is split into a first generation campaign, and a second generation campaign after a time skip. So no, FE5 takes place during the same parts of *FE4's Gen 2* while also being before it. FE5 starts in the year 776, one year before Seliph's army starts liberating Isaac, and ends about two thirds through it, after Manster is captured, but before the Liberation Army attacks the Kingdom of Thracia. When playing FE5, you only hear about Seliph's insurrection about two thirds into the game, when Leif fails to retake Alster and the Empire begins their siege on Lenster. At that point, it takes about 6 months for Seliph to reach Lenster and rescue Leif's forces. What happens after is a bit of a retcon. In FE4, Leif and friends stay in Lenster while Seliph's army both defends Lenster and pushes toward Connaught. They rejoin at some point, and then head together towards Manster. In FE5, Seliph heads straight for Connaught while Leif goes for Manster, where they then rejoin. This video depicts the latter.

They never did make it to Alster, the point was he sent a portion of his army there and they all died. It even makes sense since Finn, Nanna, and Leif can take on most of those enemies alone, but they can't seize so in a sense the continuity is still there
Following her accidental exposure to gamma rays during the detonation of an experimental bolganone, Larcei was physically transformed into "The Lark" when subjected to emotional stress, at or against her will, often leading to destructive rampages, boss kills and conflicts that complicate Larcei's love life. It's a The Hulk joke. It seemed funny, 5 years ago.
