A few years ago my son and I had a side hustle where I would pick up rugs at garage sales, thrift stores, or on the side of the road, he worked as a professional carpet cleaner, so he'd clean them and we would resell them! I picked up two pink chenille vintage rugs for 6 bucks for the both of them, he cleaned them for nothing other than a half an hour of his time and we sold them for 180 bucks each! That was one of my most all time best R.O.I.s that I've had! I'm still catching up on your older videos, so please excuse my late commentaries on them! ❤️

That’s a high end bike that has a easy latch remove tire for easy storage. And car transport. I bought such a mountain bike and paid 1500 dollars at a sports store. You don’t find those bikes at Walmart.
If the front brake pad that fell off in the trailer lost the nut to reattach it, why not bag it and tape it to the frame for the next owner to deal with?
As someone who buys storage units always check behind the drawers of the dresser I have now twice found money in an envelope taped to the back of the drawer. You never know when someone was cleaning out the late grandmothers room and didn’t check before they threw it out
Especially with purses and wallets. Definitely check all pockets. Coats as well. I've gotten money from coats, purses, and wallets that I have trash picked.
I used to go clubbing in my younger days, I wore clothes with pockets because I carried cash in case my bag was stolen or pick pocketed. I got paid once a month , at the end of the month I went through all my jackets pockets & found plenty of money to make it till payday! 😅

In my own experience, picking trash from rich neighborhoods is WAY more profitable. Your investment is your time and gas money, so the return is 99% profit. Besides, you are saving the planet from preventing these things from going to a landfill. Keep up the good work!!

You bring back fond childhood memories I just turned 57 but I remember the good times picking with my mom and her mother I live by the motto "one man gathers what another man spills"Bergan county was very affluent not only trash nights when we woukd pile in the old Rambler station wagon and go treasure hunting all the excellent Bazaars at fancy Synagogues in Bergan..County where I got most of my more awesome toys like a huge set of little plastic civil war soldiers that were; super detailed. They had a feild hospital with wounded guys. A giant box of them My brother anf I spent hours playing on that battlefield.. Bazaars always had a combination of used snd new stuff one I remember haf all these tyco trains and cars. For so cheap. Meanwhile Mom grabbed a bunch of really nice tee shirts, socks, and pants very fancy stuff I know used socks seem kinda gross, but these looked new and I noticed they had very fancy name tags meticulously sewn into everything even the socks and the name was Tyco. The Tyco family must have gone to that synogouge and I wore the future Heir to the Tyco fortunes cast offs. We also woukd go to the fancy Bergan County towns on garbage night and found amazing stuff. I had few things bought new
I think I might have grabbed that green carpet at the very start. If nothing else it is a good base on the floor of the trailer to slide furniture or glass tables on You can always toss it in a dump run/trash out or even use it again next time you need to cover trailer floor during picking season.
That fancy cement thing you picked with the copper is for the outside of homes as decoration - for maybe above the door.I have one in front of my house with a Lion Head on it...great pick on that Schwinn! 🦁👍😺🚲

I’ve been picking since I was a kid with dad. I still pick around the rich area. I seen Sami J found some American Girl dolls. I found some too like a week ago it was a dated Olympic gymnast one. She had different outfits. I sold it for $100! She even had the little hangers for her outfits and the box she came in. So I think I scored! I liked the rugs and yeah the bike was a score. You want find any of that stuff on the streets around my towns. Even our beach communities don't do that. We have like 4 thrift stores within 2 miles.

We hang out rugs over a fence and pressure wash them. Turn out great
