I just got one. Was out with it this week. It was very sunny and very cold. I could not see much. I left the shield at home and I don't have an ice hut...yet...:-) Thanks for the video!
It's good entry level camera. I have the same model. The only thing that I'm worrying about is too thin cable. But you definitely need some panning device like tripod or so, to search your lure under water.
After a going out on the ice a few more times this season I can def say that you don't need to drill 2 holes "as close together as possible". Only in murky water do u need to do this. If the water is clear or you are using a larger bait you should definitely drill the holes farther apart, also I spelled "recommend" wrong, my bad
@@jacobmann7954 makes sense to me, guess I should have specified "and fishing with very small baits for panfish", a big bait like that and targeting big fish can def change the distance between holes
I would think very well, I can't see there being any issues with that. I've used it at some of the dirtiest lakes and still been able to see. The dirtier the lake the closer you need to drill your holes together
It was actually pointed horizontally (at a 90 degree angle), the product comes with 2 rings that can alter the camera angle, I use both rings for a horizontal view, see the instructions to see how to hook it up that way if u choose to get it
Def still recommend it, though its the only underwater camera I've had, biggest downsides are getting the camera to aim where u need it to, difficult to view outside of an ice shanty, and the playback video quality isn't great if u want to use it to make youtube videos, the big plus is the battery life, I could use it all day on a full charge and the other plus is that its fairly easy to set up on the ice. Overall for the price still think its a solid product, may upgrade to a better one in a year or 2 but does what i need for now

quick tip, I use a tripod over hole that i attach the cable to, then i can just spin tripod and hold in fixed position as needed
Just bought one myself. Looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for the video

Lmfao I just watched my sucker get absolutely annihilated by a northern on mine. Holes are about 4 ft apart. Pretty murky, low visibility.

@@snagalishusman4493 true. I could see a smaller minnow as well.
Good. Nice
Holly, ice looks very thin.
I have an eyoyo so how did you transfer footage from the eyoyo or did you record the screen with a different camera
Mine has a memory card slot, I know the cheaper ones do not
@@snagalishusman4493 oh didn't realize that so how much did yours cost?
@@bubbajay4044 was $200 on amazon, now I see the same one is $220 today

thank you!
How were you able to have the camera point vertically? I was thinking about gettin one myself

Snagalishus Man yea i keep confusing the two, vertical and horizontal lol but yea thanks for the info
Would you still recommended it after all this time?

@@snagalishusman4493 You can buy a Marcum wired panner for $25. It allows you to turn the camera. Highly recommend getting one.
