Really informative video. I was actually looking into buying an underwater camera for ice fishing this year. Hopefully see some bigger ones. Thanks for sharing Mr. Shifty
I bought one a couple years ago when my aquaview died. I love it nice and compact the only issue that I have found after hundreds of uses the lens cover on the camera starts to leak the little o-ring wears out. So I put the camera in rice until it was dry and siliconed the lens back on. The second issue was the battery life runs out over time and it's very hard to find a replacement battery I was getting around 8 hours of run time on a 9 inch screen and now I get about 2 1/2 . Thank Shifty for the great videos
This is all good infornation that I didn't know. Hopefully they have upgraded their components. I hope I don't have issues, but the rice/silicone are great ideas. Thanks pal.
Hahaha…. I have now found that the homer bucket lid from Home Depot works so much better. It doesn’t slide and it keeps the water from freezing in the hole most the time. 👍
Great job Shifty! I bought this same setup in January 2020 but haven’t used it haha. I took it out once but weather was bad then my work schedule never worked out on good ice time. Then this year my mom passed away during ice season and never got out. I planned out trying in my kayak but forgot about it haha. I need to look into that Mount thingy (tripod) you got haha Great idea with the frisbee. Did you really need the upper hand on Stacy? Haha

Question, to my knowledge no one ever talks about this. Does the screen show well in bright sunlight? The last one of these I owned (made by another company) was useless in bright sunlight. I had to put a coat over my head to see the screen in sunlight.
The picture in your house is a thousand times different than in the water if the picture where the same under the water, it would be worth its weight in gold

I sold my aquavue to get my Marcum. It's a great camera but much heavier to carry than this one, and this case that it comes with is all that.

I have never been in the sunlight where a camera did much good. This does have a sun screen with it that helps.

The bottom of a 5 gal bucket works well for a platform. Just an idea there. Hope to see ya on the hard deck soon
