MPs debate the impact of heading in football on dementia

A new charity has been launched to protect current and future generations of footballers from developing dementia.
The new charity, Head Safe Football, has the backing of Hayley McQueen, whose father Gordon, the ex-Leeds United legend died earlier this year after being diagnosed with dementia.
Other players including Chesterfield's Ernie Moss, who died in 2021, lived with dementia in their later years - his family convinced that heading heavy footballs had contributed to his illness.
MPs debated the dangers of heading in football in the House of Commons.
