Andy Mineo is a Christian rapper and he’s one of the best in my opinion.
For sure. I think it was Lecrae that kinda gave him his first boost. But i forget. I was really into that scene for a while. Saw Andy live a few times. KJ52 and all that Christian rap group.

This is the best reaction I’ve seen. This is what Christian Hip Hop is supposed to do. Bring people to asking questions about God. This was Andy working out his faith and trusting what God says about himself through His word and not by the words of men. Helped me through a dark time in my life. I still bump this.

The daily bread in this song is the word of God. So instead of eating literal bread he is feasting on the Word while he is fasting for the Lord. He's talking about the version of Jesus he grew up believing.

I heard it differently. The Daily Bread, or time in the word, is per diem (aka every day). Meanwhile, he's fasting *from* that daily bread, aka NOT spending time in the word -- and doing so continuously. Fast like BM = days fly by not realizing he hasn't spent any time with God in months. That's just my interpretation.

Another entendre in the bar (that I at least think was intentional) is that he's fasting from the daily bread (like you said) and that it's like a BM = Bowel Movement. In other words, his lack of time in the word also leads to him excreting out what he needs.
And then of course, the whole slew of bars in context refers to the life of a musician on the road "working working working working". So the lines paint the picture of an artist on tour receiving a per diem (which is common for artists brought out of their state for a show) and then literally driving by in a car that isn't there's in that place.

Never thought I’d see the day SK would break down bars from a Christian Hip Hop artist. Yes, Andy will never get mainstream views because of the genre he’s in. He’s OK with that though. His message is more important than that. 116 clique that includes Lecrae is going through it right now but still putting out good music. Andy’s transparent in his struggles with his faith and that makes him real to me. Appreciate whoever suggested Stevie do this one. Other CHH artists that need to be shown love are Bizzle, Derek Minor, KB, and of course Lecrae. Keep growing Stevie.

In addition to rapping the song he signs the entire song in the video and incorporated shapes in the backround that move with the beat as well as the bass so she can see and feel the beat. Andy is in my top three, he's part of my daily routine. Clarity is and always will remain my favorite song of his. He's so raw and honest. I'm really digging one of his newer songs right now, Vendetta. It speaks so many truths of the world we currently live in. God's got His hands on this man. Andy penetrates the hearts of some that otherwise might not be reachable. A true artist.

The original three of tedashii and LeCrae he was the slower and smoother of the bunch while tadashi had the cracking punchlines and booming voice and LeCrae had the multi-syllabic bars

I’ve been in church all my life and this is the problem with religion...no one questions ANYTHING! They believe what they are told to believe in and they close their mind off to anything new. I had to unlearn so much crap that I was told growing up. That’s why we have so many Christians today doing so much damage because they are are intolerant of anything different and they aren’t willing to question our doubt what they’ve been told. Andy Mineo just spit 5 mins of straight facts...glad you did this one. This one got me in my head and fired up.
