first of all don't go for oneplus 12r if you own an oneplus 11r, smartphones are not worth upgrading one generation or the other, back in the days like 2017-2018 there used to be massive generational improvements and we're sitting in 2024 where both smartphone processors and brands itself are struggling to innovate. save money, save our planet from e waste and live a healthy life my friends :-)

Some of your information is wrong, the back glass of the 12 is not victus, it's GG5 just like the 12r. Also the 12r is IP64, not IP54.

Well, god knows how this lady tested both 12 & 12r but believe me whatever extra you are putting in 12 is really worth. Camera - best, battery backup best. Even on paper they says 12r has LTPO 4th gen panel but in reality 12 display is way ahead from 12R. Pre-Ordered 12 and exchanged old 7 pro. Got trade value of 20.3k which is great for a 4 year old mobile bought at 38k. Whoever in the market looking for mobile, go for OP 12 eyes closed.
In USA the base OP12 is usually about $100 more and definitely worth buying. However the 12R 16/256 is on special and is $170 less and cost $429 right now with sale and $100 off recycle discount Hmmm 🤔🤔🤔.

Got the OnePlus 12R.....returning it. Phone was unsable. Black Screen, Frozen screen, restarts , no apps on screen, etc.....
90% of the experience? I'd say it's closer to 98% of the experience at nearly half the price. I don't need Dex, an S-pen, or an IP68 rating. I have a PC, a touchscreen laptop, and don't swim with electronics. 😉
How about useless 2mp macro? At least a 5mp. Who utlizes a 2mp in 2024?

How curved is the screen? I prefer a level screen, but the rest of the specs of this phone speaks to me.

Oneplus 12R should have had an optical Zoom camera,
They don't give that under 40k.
I suspect that the OnePlus 12R does not actually feature a Sony sensor, as the image quality isn't as sharp and clear as one would expect. It's possible that it uses an Omnivision sensor or another brand. Moreover, I'm even skeptical about the claimed megapixel count. Based on the reviews I've seen, something seems off, and it doesn't appear to be a Sony sensor. I think it's worth investigating to confirm these suspicions.
Ofcourse it is Sony sensor. That sony sensor is almost same as older imx 766.
I just get an camera update yesterday 😮 and the picture looks far more better now ....!!

Indeed, another highly informative video. Although, I will correct you on one detail. Both the 12 and the 12R have back panels constructed of gorilla Glass 5. Once more, I'm perfectly fine with that. Gorilla Glass victus 1 and 2 are highly susceptible to microabrasions.

Yoo bro a op 8 user here. I have made the decision to not upgrade to op12r as it is more bulkier and heavier. Going to replace my battery and keep the op8 for another year or so

I'm getting easily 6 hrs screentime usage from just 50%...it's mad....and charges hella fast...this makes me forget the weight tbh

If u just compare d prices den der is a big difference but once you apply exchange of older phn den difference in prices isn't much also OnePlus is giving bonus of additional 5k to 10k on top of exchange value....in d end price difference is only 10-12k.....for me OnePlus 12 is 👍👍

Bought 12 very happy wid it...bought it last week got an additional discount of 8k replaced my s20fe.......for 12 I got 16k as exchange and for 12r it was showing 8k......bought it from one plus app

Mobile camera never satisfied me. Even on 15 pro Max, S24 ultra. So camera on a mobile has no effect on me.
Then be happy with 20k-30k mobiles. They are so worthy if you don't care about cameras.
12r is a meaningful compromise over flagships except camera dept you won't feel that much difference in dialyuse.

Its finally showing its age, hardware glitches or something, sad because i love its popup camera! 😢 I didn't think about the 12R, because one gets used to Flagships, since I've owned 7Pro, my wife has gone through 2 Samsung flagships and now on Pixel 7 Pro, so I feel I got best investment deal ever! 🥂
Great choice! 🎉 She's actually wrong, 12r is basically just a OnePlus Nord 3+ kind of. OnePlus 12 is better in almost everything compared to 12r even on updates, only 3+4 years on 12r and 4+5 on 12. And Hasselblad camera tuning will get even better with upcoming updates. And that periscope telelens is amazing to have, it's so good it's alone worth everything that money which separates the price difference between 12 and 12r. And I bought the 16/512 GB green version of OP12 for only 990€ and that 512gb isn't even available available on 12r.

My personal ultimate question: iPhone 15 Plus or Oneplus12? Is the Oneplus 12 worthy of winning my personal race against the iPhone 15 plus? I'm getting an SOT of only 6 hours on my OnePlus 12R while using it in dark mode. Majority of other users are getting above 7.5 hours of SOT 🤔🤔

Many times the battery life increases as the phone gets used more and optimizes or you may have a setting or bug of some kind. You will figure it out.

That correction was plastered all over the internet by One Plus and they offered a full refund. BTW for most people there would be no real world difference...very few people would notice or care. It was a mistake and corrected by One Plus. It is a non issue just like green screen or terrible camera on One Plus...a bunch of gossip usually made by fanboy and girls. Objective testing proves otherwise.

It depends where you live and what current deals there are. Right now in USA there is special on 12R upgraded 16/256 version with sale $70 off and auto recyclers discount if $100 the 12R 16/256 is $429!!! And even cheaper with other discounts.
They are changing deals here in USA. They had free 512 upgrade on the 12 for a while and free earbuds another time. So it all depends...

The cameras are so much better on the 12 . There's only 1 usable camera on the back of the 12r. Wireless charging is a big deal for me as well. Too many little things missing on the 12r.
Enjoy the 12! In USA the base 12 is usually only $100 more than 12R and what I plan on getting. I am not really a camera user but the other goodies with the 12 for only $100 is an easy choice. I consider the 12 a real worthy flagship! I do not think most buyers understand how good these phones are and I am looking forward to learning myself.

I do not agree 12r offer 90 percent of 12 in camera. As I have heard: They delivered 3.1 ufs opposite to 4.0 as marketed in 256 gb was a clear let go for me either of these to buy. Can't trust any company after such a blunder in specifications and looks like this is done knowingly as this can't be a mistake that you wrote ufs 4.0 inplace of 3.1 ufs.
One or both of the OnePlus 12 and 12R phones will be Phone of the Year 2024 but you are entitled to your opinion. They are selling fast.

This phone is good but it doesn't push 120 like other phones. It will studder on social apps and in other areas of the phones interface. Maybe an update will fix this this but it very annoying and makes me switch my sim back into my Samsung a54 believe it or not.

@@katinasoutherland7693 OnePlus advertised that on 12r the higher storage variant is of ufs 4.0. but users found out that it's ufs 3.1. Now they're saying that a mistake happened in our website. They not even did public apology. The brand which is manufacturing a device, doesn't even know what hardware they're using? They surely know , but they think us as fools that we don't check those things.

Lack of a telephoto lens and poor video stabilisation is a no-go for me. At least adding the 2x telephoto of the OnePlus 11 would more than suffice. I'd pick the S23 FE over this anyday.
S23Fe has worse battery, heating issues, even worse performance, weaker network, wifi reception l and these are a big deal to me
