You shouldn’t be too hard on yourself Mads, you can’t expect to have amazing results from every single session. That’s simply the reality with photography. Just coming away with one image you really like is what I aim for. Perhaps it’s partly the TH-cam pressure to produce content that has a detrimental effect. Thanks for sharing again Mads. Stay safe 🇦🇺
What a great contribution to photography you are. Art is not just to create but to perceive how we can do better. I always come to your channel to look at the photographs but come away with an enrichment of knowledge as to get better creatively. Thanks.
If you are not familiar with the winter you need to learn 😊 winter per se is minimalistic and that forms the base for shooting. You need to reconsider your strategy and approach due to these conditions. Imagine it is also about -20 C! Scouting is one aspect but the most important aspect is how you view the landscape. After all, white is white and not a color 😂❤ keep up the good work! btw, other brands's cameras also have photo bracketing.
Mads I agree that snowy conditions other than in places like the Rockies to be hard to compose due to the flatness of the light and lack of three dimensionality however sometimes with the right conditions like anything else it can be magical especially with a fresh snow on the trees and wind drifts giving dimensionality to the snow !!! I think you did well despite the lousy conditions 👏👏👏
That little island looks like a dolphin! And I loved your picture with the star burst, mounds and hoar frost. Shame all the snow is gone now again now. Not too much chance of snowy blue sky shots in DK & I’ve been here 25+ years! 😊
Another beautiful video. Thank you! How many images for you take using focus bracketing? Do you use all the focus bracketed images the camera takes? Do you have issues with focus breathing when bracketing with the 16-35? Which version do the 16-35 do you use?
Another great video. I have both of your composition e-books and they are helping me with my photography. Your worst picture is still a superior picture. Hey, do a book on drone photography and I’ll buy one. Take care!
Stunning photos Mads, Planning ,planning, planning. Great photos for the most part just don't happen. We need to work, to find our area to shoot in. Practice, patience, thinking the shot through .
sorry for your troubles pete! maybe this will help. there's a bloke from uk that says if you bring an apple and sit and eat it, (try not to drop it) it will put your mind in the right frame.
While I am thinking about it and it is early on in your video, I want to offer a sincere thanks. I used your beginning settings to capture the Aurora Borealis, on our trip to Alaska from Indiana. It worked out wonderfully. I have some awesome pictures over a lake, between mountains and over the black spruce trees!
Loved the image at 8:00 and the final 2 images too Mads, really striking and beautiful work. Even though the week had been a challenging one for you, your skills and abilities still prevailed and Im sure you would have still enjoyed the time out with the camera in the conditions you were getting.
That much snow is like October, and it only gets deeper through April, then brings to melt and is gone sometime in May. I also notice you rarely use your lens hood.
Adversity is your greatest friend. Without it you stagnate. When you stagnate you will wither on the vine. In a world of BILLIONS of great images you must always establish your "edge".
Hej Mads !

Wow...that wide angle shot at 12:10 is amazing.
I can relate to the difficulty of winter landscapes, but you've done very well. The aerial image of the crack in the ice was wonderful.
That last island shot is beautiful!
Great video. Thanks for including the drove footage. Great comp as usual. Love the shots with the sunlight.
That’s a first, visited Denmark every year growing up from age of 4 - 15 but never saw snow. Great update and interesting points. 👍👏
how come your struggles knock my good days into the mud? stay happy:)

Great video especially the Drone footage.
No sympathy for you today! You always create mind bendingly good images…even in difficult situations! Thanks for taking me along!

Wonderful video and useful advices and detailed explanation ... thank you 🔝💯👏👏👏
Just beautiful shots Mads !!
Great video Mads....wish it was snowing here instead of 41c and floods etc ... always like wide angle shots ... cheers from Australia 🦘🦘😊
Here in Norway I use the many webcams to research new locations, and check what the general conditions are in the area before I go there!

Hey Mads!

How do you manage automatic focus bracketing with your Sony A7RIII?
That much snow is like October, and it only gets deeper through April, then brings to melt and is gone sometime in May. I also notice you rarely use your lens hood.
My new canon r6 mark 2 has focus stacking but I haven't tried it yet seriously.
Ps LOVE the focus stacked starburst shot 😍😍😍😍
What a landscape 😮. I find no square km without streets and powerlines in my area. What gloves 🧤 are you using ?

What time intervals do you use? Great video again.
I've never tried time blending. Hmmm!
The last photo in the video looks like a dolphin. A dolphin that’s jumping out of the ocean. We should call that photo the dolphin.
