With the tractor and football, along with the other superhero type characters you opened. There are some really cute boy themed scrapbook papers and embellishments. Companies like Photo Play, Carta Bella, Echo Park, Simple Stories and my all time favorite… Doodlebug… all have really cute papers and embellishments that coordinate. Where did you get the adorable Panda? I have a Spellbinders die that cuts those, so making something would be fairly easy. It’s just a matter of me turning off my games, putting down my iPad, and taking my lazy tail into my studio! For the first time since 2002, I didn’t make ANY Christmas cards. Not a single one and I normally make 30-50. My mojo flew out the window in 2013 and has never returned. I WANT to create and I have a HUGE list of things I want to do, but I just can’t seem to find my spark. No matter what I buy or what I have. Pitiful. There’s a truth/story behind it, but I wouldn’t dare bore you (and any comment readers) with it. Thank you for sharing your nursery. I think you did great! ❤🎄
I understand losing the spark. While I am able to be creative with doll stuff, my first passion left me and has never returned. Once upon a time, I was an artist. I carried my sketchbook with me everywhere. I was constantly inspired. I loved drawing people, particularly fantasy figures. I also drew ballerinas. I loved the whimsy. I studied birds, butterflies, flowers, all to incorporate in a picture. My preferred medium was my very expansive prismacolor colored pencil set. That set, now, would cost me a small fortune. I accentuated the drawings by using a very fine pen nib and india ink. Then, in my early 20’s, the love of my life absolutely crushed my heart. I was never the same again. Although I am no longer bitter and I have a good life, I have never been willing to love a man like that ever again. I stopped believing in true love for myself. I didn’t want anyone to try. I doubt I ever will. I gave him my heart and he never gave it back. Do I love him now? No. I got my head together and let that go. He tried to reach out back in 2017. I was not remotely tempted. So, now someone knows my story about love and how losing it cost me my creative soul. I still can’t draw. I mean, I can, but I don’t want to. The baggage we carry and what it costs us. I am sorry you are dealing with trying to recapture that love of creating.
I love the swan painting, I am so having something like that in my dollhouse nursery.
