Like Jack, I recently ordered a Knaggs totally “blind”, without ever touching or playing one. It was a Kenai J, and this is the second of three times I have ordered a Knaggs guitar “blind”. The first time was for a Tuckahoe. That’s how confident I am in the brand and the build of these guitars. They are stellar instruments.

I have a 7 year old Chena - and it’s an absolutely stunner in all respects. Can easily hold its own against my Anderson Arcangel, Eggle Macon SC and PRS Custom 24. Wonderful guitars! 👍😀

i bought a butterscotch choptank with Fralin tele pups ( very similar to that olive guitar) from Peach. it is featured in a Peach youtube video hehe! I got it for a surprisingly good price new. it's outstanding in every way as you'd expect. it is my now 6th Knaggs guitar.

I had a kenai T3 for a while. Honestly best neck I’ve ever played. But feedback from people when I tried selling was that it looks like a ‘prs missing a chromosome’ 😢 I think they’re fantastic, artisan guitars.

Are the Knaggs neck shapes roughly the same (what shape?) or subtly different? Good player btw! Best, Pete.
    Sorry, you answered around 15:00......

I only played one, but darn it was a good guitar. Went home and thought about buying it. Went back to the store a few days later and it was gone. :(

The Choptank looks like a Godin (made in Canada) but sounds better in my opinion although Godin makes great guitars as well.

The Choptank sounds great, snappy like a Tele but beefier. What are you playing it through?

Thanks Robert - all clips were played through a King Tone Duellist OD pedal into a Dr Z Maz 18 amp 👍

About 5 yrs ago I got a hefty tax rebate so of course I thought “ NEW GUITAR” so I went to world guitars site as they present their products with real polish and I noticed a knaggs Steve Stevens SS2 or 1 in sunflower burst priced at £4200 so I bought it and even still today I’ve not seen anything to surpass it’s build quality playability and tone “bare knuckle mules” then it was stolen and I was numb being disabled I played it a lot so it’s loss was a huge blow......so knaggs are among guitars elite quality instruments.

Does the knaggs have neck dive like an sg? Being 24 frets I would think so

Hold on did he just say "you can spec anything you like from the custom shop" ?
Not having a go, but that simply isn't true I've enquired on numerous occasions over the last eight years or so about a lefty and it's a firm "no chance" there's only one lefty in existence and it was made by an employee for himself (looked like a natural brown Yamaha SA1000)

Their body shape is almost identical regardless scale length and arch top approach, the silhouette would always be that shape.

You're missisng the point with Knaggs that Joe Knaggs was head of PRS Private Stock for 20 years. The skill and qualtity of his guitars come from those 20 years at PRS.

Wonder what the Knaggs necks are like.. 50s fat or 60s slimmer? Measurements?

  • @youKnowWho3311
    @youKnowWho3311 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

JoeKnaggs didn't work for PAUL at PRS because he sucks.
One of my favorite singlecuts I have ever touched is a PRS from the "Knaggs Era"
Love Joe's guitars, regardless of the name on the head stock.

No point in reinventing the wheel when the original designs were so good. The square wheel never really caught on - but it was highly original!
